My obsession with Pizza One started on a movie set in Sparta. We ordered from here every single day on set, and I’ve never looked back. Now that I live in the area, I make a point to come in regularly, and it’s all because of the chicken parm. Best. Chicken. Parm. Ever. I mean it. And the olives? So good I took a whole container home.
But honestly, what keeps me coming back just as much as the food is Sue. BEST waitress ever. She is attentive, warm, and moves with the kind of urgency and care that makes you feel like a valued guest every single time.
My only frustration, and I feel the need to mention it, is that on my last visit the bussers were simply not holding up their end. Sue was clearing plates, managing tables, and taking care of everyone around her, while one busser stood at the front on her phone the entire time and the other stood at the bussing station doing absolutely nothing. And when she did move, it was at a snail’s pace with zero urgency. It was hard to watch, especially when all the waitresses were working so hard. They deserve better support from their team.
Overall, Pizza One is a gem. The food is outstanding and Sue is a star. Management, please make sure your bussers are backing up your servers. They’ve earned it.

I don’t leave reviews often but this may prevent someone else from having a potentially life threatening experience.
We had a wonderful waitress, I told her I have a gluten allergy & celiac before we ordered and confirmed my choices were gluten free and safe from cross contamination. She let the kitchen know, however 2/3 of the way through the mussels I found a 2 inch piece of spaghetti in the shell of one of the mussels. I stopped eating the dish immediately and only mentioned the issue when asked how my dish was.
Anyone with severe allergies/celiac knows… even a speck of gluten or shared cooking surface will ruin your night and make you suffer for the next few weeks.
The waitress apologized profusely, the chef/kitchen/owner couldn’t have cared less. I didn’t ask for the dish to be removed from our bill, but the waitress came back to the table letting us know it WOULDN’T be. Zero concern about whether I was okay.
Needless to say I don’t feel safe eating here again. What happened was negligence and a lack of concern for safety.

All my friends and I love your salads with the fruit and cheese. I also like to have the chicken added. The salads are huge so I always take half home. Your daytime waitress is so friendly and really good at her job. She always remembers my friends and I. Your desk staff smiles and makes customers feel welcome even when you have a long line. I absolutely love your slices that have eggplant and the salad on top. The pizza I picked up tonight was hot and delicious as usual.

I quite enjoy their drunken chicken parm wrap and the fact I can order it with extra cheese and sauce is a game changer! Also whoever’s idea to add sweet potato waffle fries with ***DILL PICKLE RANCH*** should get an immediate raise.
