I was a hoping for more. A restaurant in a nice little town that has a Biergarten sounded promising. Dinner for two of us at St. Moritz was ... decent. Nothing stood out particularly. I had to return my first draft beer (it was flat) and the service was okay. To be fair, one of us had a burger, and it was good. The execution on the German food was again, just OK.
Took a year and a day to get our entrees. Did the chef leave? The string beans were hard. Sent them back. They came back still hard not properly cooked. Replaced with a salad. We got three scallops on a bed of rice with a lousy presentation. I do not recommend this place. To pricy for the quality and quantity of food. With all of the other eateries in Lake Mohawk I would try them.
Got the Caesar salad with scallops. Thirty dollars. Three cold scallops medium size and thinly sliced lettuce with a ton of dressing. Very mushy was really terrible. Very disappointed
Great food and service.

Our group of four had another delicious meal at St. Moritz Grill and Bar. We passed on appetizers but each one of us enjoyed our meals: chicken schnitzel, winter harvest salad with salmon, salmon tacos and pork ragu. Since my wife is gluten sensitive, she asked our server, Matthew, if the tacos could come on corn tortillas. While corn tortillas were not available, Matthew quickly added that they could be done as a lettuce wrap. My wife very much enjoyed this option. We (I) only ordered one dessert. The tasty apple crisp was enough for all four of us and we still didn't finish it! Shout out to our server, Matthew, for his attentiveness and fun personality which added to our whole evening.
Started going here in 2016 after moving out of Clifton I love it. There was a point were the execution of the food went way down and the prices went up, so we stopped going for a couple years, but I just visited this past Christmas and I'm very pleased to say they're back and better than ever. The food is great, the bar is great, but you'll probably leave hungry. (I'm skinny as a rail and do every time.) Which when paired with their prices, make it someplace you'd love to go, but ultimately pass up for somewhere else.

Easy parking, no wait - bigger place than it looks. Typical diner food and coffee is good enough as well.

We held our daughter’s baby shower here. I have to say Sue and the staff did a fantastic job! They paid attention to every detail and helped make the planning effortless. The event was done beautifully and the brunch delicious. I would definitely recommend them. Thanks again to the team!

The outside seating is amazing. Food is portioned to perfection. Diagonally of the outside seating location is the lake where you get a wonderful view and refreshing breeze. Seasonal menu specials make it much more tempting to return to see what they have. Food presentation off the charts. Everything was aligned and set up to look with great colors. The texture of the food was a good combination. Flavors of the food all taste different but come good together with more of a natural taste, meaning wasn't over seasoned. This was my 2nd time going, and I would definitely go over again and again. The bathroom doesn't go with the flow of the restaurant look. The food, the service, the appearance of the dining, and the outside area all are in conjunction. I also love the break of the dining area and the bar. It makes the bar more of a casual place separate from the indoor dining experience.
Parking: There was tons of parking, but I would just plan ahead for the weekend. It gets very busy and difficult to park for the spring-summer season. It's all worth it, though. They do have a side private parking.

Great location, terrible food. The servers temperament was uninviting and i actually got an eye roll when I asked for something after she brought the food. I hadn't been here in a little while so I was excited to stop in because I used to live right up the road. I won't be going back here again. There are many better options in this area.

I was there on 9/15/25 with a 5pm reservation for three. We at outside expecting to celebrate my sons new marriage but the service was so horrendous that it took away the joy of the occasion. Our waitress was very inattentive. Service felt very hurried. She brought me the wrong drink and refused to return it. She then become argumentative and combative. Not until I threatened not to pay for the drink did she finally return it. In hindsight I should have asked for the manager. She was always missing in action. I had to ask twice for extra salad dressing and extra cheese. She never once check on us. I have two words of advice; "stay away".
