We came here after the Sussex Fair. The food was delicious! We ordered a medium well cheeseburger deluxe, grilled chicken sandwich, and a kids cheeseburger. All plates came out with pickles and small macaroni salad. We split the cheeseburger deluxe and chicken sandwich which tasted farm fresh. The waters tasted good, it wasnt tap water. Its just a little dark in there but by the entrance theres more lighting. The waitress were nice and kind and the pricing for all 3 meals was $30-$40 with tip. We will stop by again next time we are in the area.

(My photo was basic, but the food was not 😂)

Staff is very friendly! Food is great, and reasonably priced. Live music on Wednesdays. MUCH better atmosphere now that the cackling hags and their posse are gone

Stopped by Saturday night for takeout. The bartender was super nice and courteous, and the food was excellent. I had the special: Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was delicious and the chef is incredibly talented. Please put this on your regular menu!

Great food! Cozy atmosphere in a country western style. They have daily specials which are always good.

This was my husband and my first time here. It is only about 10 minutes from our home. We were not impressed. Actually we were very disappointed. There rate this place at over 4 stars. It was too dark in the restaurant area. Not only us but other couples were using their cell phones to read the menu. I got a cheese burger and asked for taylor ham on it for a change instead of bacon. I was expecting a nice thick piece of taylor ham. Instead I got a few little pieces as thin as a potato chip. The soup was good but the oyster crackers were stale. My husband got an Italian chicken meal. I think marsala. The one with the mushrooms and should have a gravy. It didn't. It tasted very peppery and no gravy but the linguini was cooked good and the chicken also. But he only ate a little and did not feel well. He went outside for air and ended up throwing up what little he ate. The waitress was great. She definitely picked up on that something was wrong. She asked several times if everything was okay because she saw that we barely ate. We would not go back again unfortunately because it is so close to our house and would have been a nice after work quick meal. Maybe we just got them on a bad night. ?‍♀️

Walked in, smelled sewage and walked out. Place was mostly empty and I can see why. Whatever the problem is I wouldn't get anything there. Get it fixed or close.

It's a nice atmosphere. It's fine for cocktails too. Food? Different story. You can eat it. It's not great.
The Stonewood Tavern is MUCH better in Byram. Or Sheridans pub in Limecrest road. I Would not eat at village saloon again. Quality if food is terrible .
