This is a beautiful, elegant restaurant that is a real treat for a special occasion or even just a night out. The food is well prepared and everything is delicious. Always good to include a pasta course if you are having 2 courses as they are all excellent. Tables are spread out and private. BYOB is fine with us...better in many ways.

Beautiful setting. Nice attentive staff. Food was ok , had a chop that was basically just cooked and put on plate. Cooked well but could have used a sauce or something. My husband had pasta was also just ok. Really nice place just needs to elevate its food a bit and has the potential for five stars.

We anticipated something other than what we experienced. The restaurant is beautiful and lovely banquettes! We ordered and right after bread was served the first course arrived! We hadnt been there but maybe 20 minutes. Barely enough time to enjoy our glasses of wine! As soon as that course was served, the main course was served and food cold so sent back. This is not the way we experience fine dining...

This is probably the best restaurant we have found so far at the Jersey shore. Ambience and decor is serene and upscale. Food and service were phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

We celebrated our anniversary at Larimar last week, and truly enjoyed our entire dining experience. Quiet ambiance when we arrived (early reservation, so a lot of empty tables), and didn't get much louder as more guests arrived. Staff was terrific - Christine was attentive, and there whenever we needed anything. Servers were behind the scenes keeping our wine and water filled. Food was stellar - our children had been there recently and highly recommended the Pasta al Nero with Shrimp, and it did not disappoint. My wife had Salmon cooked to perfection over a bed of curry rice and cabbage. She's not crazy about curry, but raved about the flavor of the rice - very subtly prepared. Beignets for dessert (I lived in New Orleans, so this was definitely a treat!) along with their Bananas Foster Crème Brulée. I suggest that they combined this into a menu item (beignet cream puffs with Bananas Foster filling...) No rush, set the stage for a nice walk around town after dinner. We will be back!

Excellent food & decor. Highly recommend especially with byob and the Bottle Shop selection across the street.

Ester was our server and couldn't have been better. She gave us outstanding suggestions for our meal, was knowledgeable about the menu, pleasant to speak with, we were very impressed with her. Kudos for having such a wonderful staff! Food was excellent, but dessert was lacking. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Learned about the dress code (no shorts) very close to reservation time. Fortunate. My fault for missing it initially, but it is not obvious when making a reservation. Would be helpful to make that more conspicuous when reserving. Also, calling to confirm the reservation is fine, but a text option to respond yes vs having to call back would be preferred.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Calm, lovely ambiance with sophistication. Perfect, professional service. Excellent food. We liked lunch before the pandemic. I'd go here every day. Our favorite!

This was our first visit to Larimar. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene. Decor contributed. Seating was magnificent, very comfortable. The food was exceptional. The wait staff were very attentive and polished.

Have the squid ink pasta!!!! Amazing! Christine was excellent and we can’t wait to return. Next time we would like to sit at the beautiful bar.

We have been planning to dine at Larimar for six years. We finally nailed it with a Tuesday reservation - and we were not disappointed. It is elegant without being pretentious. The food (the homemade pasta!) is simply delicious. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and approachable. It is a small restaurant and fills quickly. BYOB makes it an affordable excursion. The food is excellent. Just plan ahead with a reservation.

All four people enjoyed their dinners. Christine made excellent recommendations for our meals. The seasonings were perfect. We would return in a heart beat. It's a gem of a restaurant!

Just had dinner here this evening and it was so awesome!!! The staff here are all so welcoming....we really felt like we had just left a friend's home and it was our first time here! The menu is so interesting and has so many cool choices. We had the Burrata and loved it and the Chopped Romaine Salad....super yummy!! We shared the Agnolotti and the Campenelle pastas....both FANTASTIC!!! LOVED the Beignets for dessert as well.... Run, don't walk....this place is a hidden gem and the people there are just the nicest ever!!!!

Our table was ready upon arrival, very comfortable, lovely setting. Service was very good, prompt and attentive. Food itself is very good. Some dishes, like Strawberry Gazpacho with lump crab, are innovative, tasty and beautifully presented (with violets!). Poached swordfish was excellent quality fish, and there's not much you can do with poached fish, but it was bland, should have expected that, perhaps chef could have done something more with it. Campanelle (pasta) with short rib ragu is a signature dish and I recommend it highly-- it's excellent. Mild, earthy flavor suggests a long, slow cooking of the ribs. Definitely worth a visit!
