We came across this bakery and decided to buy some chocolate chip cookies for the go. After taking a few bites, we immediately turned back and went back inside. In two days, we visited 5 times! We had plenty of cookies, Danish pastries, croissants, cinnamon raisin rolls, coffee, and an einkorn loaf. Everything we had has been the best we ever had! We have a picky palate, and Nick & sons surpassed our expectations and even blew us away. The bakers are easy to talk to, and it reminds us of old bakeries' service. The cinnamon raisin roll was outstanding. We never tried anything like it;* the fresh cardamon*, could eat 2 in a row without getting a sugar high or feeling uneasy. Even their coffee is perfect, the BEST of Spring Lake, and ideal for dipping pastries. Now I'm enjoying the 3-day-old Einkorn loaf at home, and it's just so perfect with butter and dipped in coffee. We look forward to revisiting Spring Lake to enjoy more goods at Nick Sons Bakery. Thank you for providing high-quality baked goods.

So psyched that this place opened. The pastries and sourdough are exceptional. Also, the bakers are super friendly.

My wife and I had our honeymoon in Italy this past summer and these croissants brought us right back to Rome. Incredible.

The best anywhere. I live in California and crave their savory Zaatar croissants. Can't wait to go back East to overindulge.
The best bakery you’ll find down the shore - hands down! The chocolate croissants are to die for. All of the croissants and pastry are delicious, flavorful, perfect. Whether you want sweet or savory you’ll be floored. Be sure to try their pizza too. There is a reason there is usually a line out the door and they sell out quickly. The staff are lovely; the shop is charming, welcoming, and clean. The customers are all lovely as well. It’s a real little community in Spring Lake. An absolute must visit if you’re anywhere down the shore. I promise. I’ve been going since they opened a few years ago and they are consistently great. ?
I think I visited this place on their bad day. I do not have any intention to criticize this place, I would like the owners to know what was my experience. 11am on Sunday they were out of 80% of the product, and I can understand that but it was very dirty, and croissants were not cooked through. I will give it another try and hope to have a better experience.

Please add more vegan options! The choco cookie is so tasty… we want more! ??
If you’re in search of the perfect ham and cheese croissant, look no further! This croissant boasts a golden, flaky exterior and a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth interior. The ham is tender and flavorful, while the cheese is perfectly melted and adds just the right amount of gooey richness. Each bite is a harmonious blend of savory and sweet, making it an irresistible treat. Whether for breakfast or a midday snack, this croissant is a must-try for any pastry lover.

Got the ham croissant and it was one of the best ones I've ever had. The dedication to their craft is obvious. Will be back.

Delicious! We tried this cute little bakery and we are so glad we did. We got a chocolate croissant, an apple tart, peach basil tart and a fig and something (lol) tart. They were all delicious. The dough is flaky and tender and the fillings are all so, so good. We will be back the next time we’re on the Jersey Shore!

Nick & Sons is such a special place. Not only are the pastries and breads divine but it is a truly family run business. I’ve had the opportunity to have their croissants both in Brooklyn and Spring Lake. The chocolate is amazing but the savory specialty options are my favorite. Inventive and flaky they are a meal and a treat! They complement the delicious breads including a challah that rivals any I have had.During my visits I have met the owner, Nick, manager, Rich, baker, Kennedy and the lovely front staff. They have shared stories about their technique, ideas behind their newest creations and stories about their family. Their warmth makes the tasty offerings even sweeter.I highly recommend a stop in Spring Lake before a day at the beach or on a cold winter morning with a hot coffee to go- it will be a highlight of your trip down the shore. Can’t wait until my next visit!

How good is Nick & Sons? It’s so good that our out of town friends ask us to please pick up some of their favorites when we go - croissants are light and fluffy, the sourdoughs hold up for sandwiches, grills or straight with butter, and the new flavors are fun to try. But even though it’s the breads and croissants etc that take us to Nick & Sons, it’s the people who keep us there. From Rich, the manager, to the local HS kids manning the check out, to the people we run into outside, Nick & Sons starts our day and makes our day every time! Thank you!
