Good was very subpar and the toast on my chicken salad sandwich was so hard it was difficult to eat and scratched my mouth. It’s very overpriced for not good food. 10/10 recommend going somewhere else for lunch, not worth my money at all and very sad honestly. I’m just depressed after eating that.
Stopped by with three of us for lunch. It was empty and most tables were paying. We were asked to wait a few minutes as the servers were backed up. We are aware that restaurants have staffing issues since COVID. We waited outside when two people walking in and were seated immediately. We were told to wait more. There were many empty and clean tables. When we inquired why the couple were seated before us we were told they were friends of the owner. So were were basically told we were not important customers. We left.
I have been going to Spring Lake for years and always eat breakfast at a different restaurant but wanted to give this a try since it always seems crowded and popular. Probably would not go back. First, For a "coffee house" we thought the coffee was terrible. Like really terrible. Super strong like mud and had to keep adding milk to make it drinkable. When you add lots of cold milk to coffee you end up with cold coffee. Ordered avocado toast and an omelette which were good but not great. Actually thought the omelette portion was rather small compared to other breakfast places. Lastly, the server may have been new so I can excuse the terrible service. Very slow and not really on the ball. The place was not crowded at all. I don't know if it was just a bad day but not worth trying again.
I want to express my disappointment in my experience. I ordered a grilled cheese and came out dry with cold cheese. I feel if a restaurant can not make a grilled cheese I am not apt to order anything more complex. Second my disgust of Mexican music being aged overhead. If you are in Amexican restaurant that is one thing. This is still America and one language will not take priority, all music will be shared. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
Very good, food was great, omelet = 10 and wife's waffle also a 10. The coffee ☕ was a 3, very bitter. Our server was very nice and the Cafe was decorated well, outside and in. On the way out we me the owner, very nice and personable. We will go again.
We had eaten at On Third Cafe in the past. Was overwhelmed this past Friday for Lunch. I understand it is under new ownership and it shows. What a great experience, the food was wonderful. The new owner...I think his name is Brad Rodriguez came out and greeted us. We are looking forward to the changes he told us about. Can’t wait to explore the menu further
Great food and service. Recommend highly.
Friendly service, delicious food, great location- & owners are very nice!!
Awesome place all the way around. The service is awesome. We have had a different server every time in the 6 times we’ve gone, all were well trained and competent. The food is amazing. Best French toast and Benedict around IMO. Nicest, welcoming people too. Highly recommend.
We happened to be in the area and stopped in for breakfast. Service was great and even was cooked to our requests. They accommodate substitutions for a small charge. Really enjoyed the experience here.

My partner and I both ordered G’Day burgers, medium rare. The meat was not medium rare it came practically uncooked, and the buns were completed soaked, wet with grease. We both could not eat most of the burger and still felt terribly sick immediately afterward. Other than that the service is slow. Our waitress asked if anyone wanted their coffee refilled, my mother said yes and it took her almost 15 minutes to come back and refill it. Food is extremely overpriced, you can go almost anywhere else and be served with better food and service. 10/10 do NOT recommend.
I wasn’t going to leave a review but I am because our server was going to have to take blame for something that was the kitchen’s fault.Let’s call it the bacon debacle. I ordered an egg scramble in which there’s bacon. I asked for the bacon to be well done. What came out was a side of well-done bacon & pieces of virtually uncooked fat in the scramble.A mix up. Ok. It happens. The meal came back with the well-done bacon inside...AND the uncooked bacon. A lot of it. That’s not even an error, that’s a very, very poor cook. One other thing: will the next patron please ask that they put a lock on the bathroom door?
When I have walked the boardwalk and taken in the town, I always stop at ...wait, did you take the "Who's" out of your name? Anyway, here! I usually get a grilled cheese sandwich and some soup, oh, sometimes a burger. It's always good, the service is friendly, lots of local people and a sense that everyone knows everyone else (even me!) - I'm so glad this place is still here and taking covid seriously. This is a charming, friendly place with comfortable food and reminiscent of the diners I went to as a kid. I look forward to being back next month. Don't go anywhere!
Had bunch with my wife and ordered waffles with home fries. The waffles was super dry and did not taste like waffle batter. They gave Kraft high fructose gmo corn syrup. We asked for regular syrup (got maple syrup that we were charged for it without being told it was extra). Home fries were tasteless without ketchup and had some chicken nugget in it (we don’t eat chicken). Waitress never came back to see if the food was ok even though only 2 tables of customers there. We both ate a quarter of the waffle and told the waitress about how poor they were and chicken with home fries and they didn’t take anything off the bill. Used to be better. We are not going back.
Excellent attention to customers and social distancing wonderful food , kind , family owned great chef great staff ... Best place for quick caring food in spring lake NJ and unreal when it comes to their gravitas coffee
