Is there a new owner cuz this is horrible since they moved to the new location!! The food used to be amazing now it sucks!! I got sushi and a bento box. My sushi was warm and gross and the bento box was cold. It gave me instant stomach issues in the first few bites! Never eating there again!! Bring back the old owner!

One of my favorite places to stop when I'm in the area. The Osborn island roll is my hands down favorite sushi roll.

SKIP RHIS PLACE. So beyond disappointed in this restaurant. It used to be wonderful in the last location for many years. The quality has gone down tremendously. Very sad looking sushi. I've never seen such skinny and small pieces. My spring rolls or soggy and completely tasteless. I wanted bubble tea with brown sugar and she said in the summer she has brown sugar, well we're in June. The Boba was completely hard and I couldn't drink it at all. The bill came and she didn't remove the bubble tea that I didn't drink.I would not recommend at all. Fuji 72 on route 72 West is wonderful. Beautiful restaurant it's great food. I would suggest going there.

i always order out the same thing: a bento box and a spicy tuna hand roll. sometimes they make the hand roll a regular roll but ever since i put it in the notes it’s been fine. the portions are huge and for the price, the amount of food you get is crazy. i love going here at least once every two weeks, if not more. staff could be a tad friendlier

I ordered the steak and scallop hibachi combination. The food was cooked well, but...the plate was absolutely drowning in salt. Seriously, there must have been 4000mg salt on that plate. I actually felt nauseous after eating it. Went home and drank a LOT of water and felt better.

The restaurant does not look like the pictures. That is apparently the old restaurant. We have been going here for some time because they've had the best sushi in town but this last time was disappointing. The rolls were not wrapped tightly and fell apart and everything was warm. It appears that they may have changed hands because I did not recognize any of the normal staff. In addition, they have a very small handwritten sign that says they are closed from 2:30 to 4:30, not plainly visible and the normal sign does not indicate that they are closed after lunch

Yay Makoto!! Love love love everything you make! Sushi is consistently good, no matter what you order. Miso soup is excellent (order an extra one for breakfast and thank me later) Shrimp Shumai is my fave. They always deliver on time. I never leave a review on here, but they are totally worth it.

I love the sushi here and I used to be a regular, but since they moved to the new location there is an issue with cigarette smoke. Every time my wife and I sit down an employee in the back lights up. It's a small restaurant and the smoke overwhelms the dining area quickly. I still get delicious sushi to go, but unless you enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke I would not recommend sitting in the dining area. So sad, I miss eating it the restaurant.

Cute little place for a date night. It is BYOB. Food is good but service can improve. My husband ordered hot tea and it was given in a regular soda glass (included pic) instead of a mug or something.

Ok, so the sushi here is a 5/5, and this restaurant deserves the credo on that. Totally worth the trip to the mainland for good sushi. The yellowtail jalapeño appetizer and avocado ball were perfect, great flavor, texture and portions. Where this place is unfortunately lacking is in ambiance and service. We sat at the sushi bar, and things just weren't 100%. We weren't given plates or soy sauce dishes to start, so as our ordered started coming up, we had to eat over napkins. Then as the night went on, our serving plates were never cleared. By the end of the meal we had quite a collection of plates stacked up. Our shumai, ordered at the start of the meal didn't show up until toward the end. Since this was my first time here, not sure if the place was understaffed or if this is typical. Another oddity here was that the lights were very bright/no dimming, and there was no music or white noise sounds at all. I think I underestimate how importance some background noise is until it wasn't there at all. If you're willing to hike out for some good sushi and a bit of a raw dining experience, this place fits the bill. If you're just in it for the sushi, they do offer take-out!! I will be back! :)
