The name of the restaurant tells it all!! We stopped in for lunch before heading to Barnegat. Although we haven't been here for several years, the food has not changed and is still great. Whether you want crabs or some other seafood there is plenty to choose from. We had king crab, blackened mahi mahi and steamed blue claws!! We were there early enough to immediately get a table but by the time we left there was a small line. Only outside seating at the time we were there on Friday. UPDATE 09/25. Still great food and they had #1 blue claw crabs!!

Mud City Crab House is one of my favorite spots! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit enjoyable. Service is quick, attentive, and done with a smile. The atmosphere feels relaxed yet professional, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. Definitely a 5/5 experience every time!

We went to Mud City after Labor Day and had a very disappointing experience. It was a beautiful evening, so we sat outside and were slowly enjoying our food and drinks, but the staff kept rushing us to make room for others. Nowhere does the restaurant indicate there’s a time limit, and it felt extremely disrespectful. I’ve never felt so rushed and this was by far my worst experience at Mud City

Food was great. Service is not on par with the cost and quality of the food. One issue with the food was that the clams casino was on the cooler side of warm. Great tasting. But certainly not hot. But would go back.
