Would leave a worse star review if possible. 45 minutes no drinks . Had to ask for a server and sat . Don’t waist your time. Ask me how the food was … I don’t know !
Epic fail . Drove 45 minutes because love German food.

As usual, it was very busy during October Fest, so we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation and service, although courteous was slow.

Went to enjoy some fine German food and music. The food was great. Entrees, dessert, and cocktails and beer did not disappoint. Jagerschnitzel was delicious. The sides were just ok. The service was attentive. We went early on a Saturday. It got very busy later on

It's a tradition to attend an Oktoberfest dinner here: food is delicious; best German food in the area. Cranberry aperol spritz & herring appetizer were excellent!

The food was mediocre and pricey for what we were served. We all had eaten our appetizers before our drinks were served. When we were able to flag down our server to ask for our drinks, he said nothing. He obviously had forgotten. Understandable on a very busy Saturday night during Oktoberfest. When dinner was served we ordered another round of drinks. They never came. We finished eating, our table was cleared and our server asked if we wanted dessert. Again I let him know we had not gotten our drinks and told him to cancel them at that point (it had been an hour since our drink order was given). Two of us had dessert. While we were eating our dessert, our drinks showed up not ONCE but TWICE. No drinks for an hour, then two sets of drinks within 5 minutes after having cancelled the order. Never again.

Can't believe what has happened to this place used. to really enjoy the food was mediocre at best extremely disappointing and the prices definitely not warranted it's an insult to German food never going back
Thank goodness the beer was good

The Good:
1. Seated promptly at our reservation time on a crowded Saturday night.
2. Nice ambiance with cool stained glass, carved wood everywhere. They really went the extra mile here. Very cool decor.
3. The live polka music is a blast and everyone was getting into it.
The Medicore:
1. The prices were pretty high for what you get.
2. The food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I've been to German places that were cheaper and had better food.
My friend and I said to each other that this place would be cool to go to once a year tops, but probably wouldn't make it a habit.

First and absolutely the last time I'll set foot in this place. The Saturday night vibe was bizarre, but it's October, so I guess the Lederhosen parade was inevitable. The crowd at 6pm was mostly elderly or guys in ridiculous costumes. The real disaster, though, was the hostess staff. They were completely inept-- long lines just to check in, and an even longer wait to get seated once you managed to let them know you were there. They overbooked, couldn't manage the chaos, and let people without reservations get tables while those of us with reservations were left waiting. The hostesses were seemingly clueless and rude. I even watched a hostess-- who pretended to be the owner (she's a manager, according to her LinkedIn)-- scream at a guest for daring to ask about the insane wait.
What's worse is this place has been around for decades. It's not their first October, so they should know how to handle it by now. We left before we even got seated, along with several other parties who had reservations. If the food is anything like the service from the hostesses and "owner," I doubt it is worth the misery. Good luck!

overbooked. overly crowded but my fault as it is october. White dinner rolls; not good black bread. Large pretzel was delish. Schnitzel and Sauerbraten average at best. Red cabbage excellent. Spartzle flavorless and overcooked to a mush state. Worst they overbook by taking many reservations for same time slot. By reservation only but a couple came in who knew owner’s daughter and manager Barbara; after waiting a half hour she was going to seat them ahead of people with reservations. When she went to hug them she knocked me down , my shoe went flying and if not for the chair behind me would have landed flat on my back; not great for a 73 year old

My father had been wanting to come back here for a while. Food, service and the authentic decor were great. If I had one complaint, it would be that the potato pancakes were nothing special. They were more like hash browns. Everything else was great, however.
Kid-friendliness: My son is an autustic teenager and he liked this restaurant, especially the traditional music.
Bathrooms were clean, which should go without saying, but too maby restaurants fail in this regard and you regret taking your kid in there.
