First time there, started good,the waiter was polite and dressed nicely and ended there,this guy took the order and never saw him again, restaurant was very slow,we got served by a buss boy, dinner had only one veggie choice,btw mashed potatoes are not a vegetable and I couldn't believe we each got about a tablespoon of potato that cost c50 a pound, potato pancakes were frozen mini pancakes,I had to get the attention of a different waitress to get our check and this clown comes from the back gives me the check and disappeared, never asked do you want dessert now to pay I had to go to the bar area because our guy was gone, they should be retrained,if you want really good food,the Heidelberg NYC, kilmeyers Staten Island or Hendrickson's in Bayonne NJ, wouldn't go back to black Forest, clueless,and usually you get apple sauce with latkes

We ate at Black Forest Inn tonight. We did not realize a reservation was needed tonight as we are not in area. We were still accommodated by a friendly staff, service was very efficient, quick with refill with drinks. I love the decor of the restaurant. The experience is great. Food is amazingly. We did make reservations to return Dec 13 for the German Christmas event.

Fantastic food whatever you get. Snails better than in France. Barbara and Heinreich do a fantastic job maintaining the black forest cuisine. Bar drinks great. Beers great ( german) and old world feel remains present. Fantastic hidden gem. Game night particularly special. FYI. 🍻
This is another place that I haven't been in a long time. I used to come here alot with my family, aunt and uncle alot when I was little. It still has the same feeling when you enter, same kind of look has well. Food was very good I had the jaegersnitchel it was very good, my wife had the duck breast, the sauce was outstanding. My dad the the roast beef, and my mom had the filet steak. All of our dishes was very good. We were all hungry when we got there and left full. Definitely a place to recommend.
