Great service--but food was really disappointing for the pricing --they can do better I am sure.

We came across this restaurant by accident and WHAT A FIND! Super friendly staff ( and the owner) and what a great dinner! The food was simply delicious, well presented accompanied by fresh baked Italian bread. A liquor store next door where we got a wine to accompany our seafood dinners. Clearly the shrimp and a whole fish (skinned at the table at our request) were super fresh and perfectly cooked. Our new place frequently go - well worth the trip! We decided to sit at an outdoor table. Next time we’ll try indoors.

After looking at all the 4 + star reviews, I'm wondering if we ate in the same restaurant. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had....
Since we knew it was BYOB, we stopped next-door and got a nice Chardonnay. Upon our arrival we asked the (only) waitress for glasses and and ice bucket and to open our bottle. She failed miserably and put the bottom part of the cork IN the bottle. She did attempt to decant the wine but failed there, too. Her solution was to suggest that we cap the first bottle and go buy another. At no point did she offer to make good on the bottle SHE ruined. That should have been our first red flag.
We decided to stay and ordered appetizers...My Caesar salad was OK, but my girlfriend's Calamari was rubbery (according to her..I don't touch that stuff) and the marinara sauce was watery and seemed like Hunt's Tomato sauce mixed with water (Red flag #2).
Her Chicken Marsala was OK, but again the side pasta was served with that same marinara. Ditto for my pasta. Although we placed our order around 6:15, we were not served until almost 7:15. Sure we were on a mini-vacation and had nowhere to go but back to our room, but still....
And lastly, it seemed a chore for her to remember that we had asked for extra ice for our water. Additionally, the temperature of the dining room was kinda warm for July (RF#3)
Suffice to say, we will not be going back

A most excellent restaurant , can't say anything bad about the place. Been several times will continue to return. The owners are great. Can't find enough good things to say about it.

What a great Italian Restaurant that is BYOB. We had lovely greens for a salad. The bread was homemade and right out of the oven. We had a margarita pizza tasted like it was cooked in a brick oven. They give you a lot of cheese. The eggplant parmigiana was wonderful and the chicken Marsala was cooked to perfection. The tomato sauce was homemade. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic.

We were on vacation. We were hungry after traveling all day and decided to stop by this restaurant. The reviews seemed pretty good. Now I wished I would’ve actually read them. I want to say the server was VERY nice. He was attentive. That is not the reason for the 1-star. We debated a little bit about what to get on the menu, but we ended up deciding on two chicken pasta dishes. The server asked if we wanted the pasta first or with our meal; we said with our meal. We waited so long for our food, the server came over 3x to apologize. There was 1 other table in there when we arrived. 1 other table seated when we were leaving, so in total, there were 3 tables and ours was the only one waiting on a meal. While waiting, we heard a woman screaming in the kitchen, which made my husband and I stop our conversation to listen. Then our food came out. It was so disappointing. First of all, our dishes looked almost the same (besides one that had a little bit of cheese on the chicken) although we ordered entirely different dishes. Secondly, there was about 10 ziti noodles scattered in the sauce (which was basically wine) on each of our plates. The chicken didn’t even come on top of the pasta. It was barely a side of pasta — I don’t know what this server would’ve bought out had we asked for the pasta beforehand. I couldn’t finish eating the chicken because it was rubbery, but we ate everything else on our plates because we were so hungry. I wish we would’ve taken a photo. For $25+ dollars for each dish, it was totally not worth it. To say that we were disappointed is a total understatement. We left hungry and actually had to order food from another restaurant. I’m not sure if we went on an “off” day or what. We felt bad for the server because it was not his fault. Based off of this experience, I would not recommend and would not return.

Such a great place! Feels like you are in your own home. Go next store and get a bottle of wine BYOB…great homemade soups, salads, entrees. You can taste the homemade touches. Bronzino is wonderful! Homemade pasta and dessert. Staff is welcoming. Love to go here and unwind after a long week…the Chef comes and greets every table.Neighborhood place and you can feel it.

Via Ponte is a little Italian BYOB. This is the 2nd time my husband and I went there to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our waiter, Sam, was very kind and professional. He did not rush us through dinner, which I loved! The resturants's atmosphere is quaint with tables for two to four persons by the window. Accommodations for larger groups appear available in the main dining area. The food, including the fish were fresh and the pasta is homemade. I will just say, it was all delicious from the bread to dessert. For those dessert lovers, I would recommend their pistachio cake. It was very light, moist and tasty.
