Came here for buffet but near the end when it was almost closing in 30 minutes. They have standard selection. Various veggies and meats (Tikka masala, goat curry and tandoori chicken). The veggies and naan were pretty dry and soggy by the end. My favorite was the goat curry. The Tikka was average. Overall would rather get higher quality smaller portion. The staff were very friendly. Comes with a free drink like a small mango lassee.

Gagan Palace has been one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Stratford/Voorhees, NJ area for many years. Shame on me for raving about it before now! When I dined inside, the service was always great and everyone was friendly, and courteous and made sure that you had a great dining experience. That said, the food here is very authentic. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Shrimp (or Chicken) Saag (made with curried spinach), Biryani and Meat Samosas are my go-to dishes. Always fresh and well seasoned. I used Grub Hub for delivery today and glad that I did! Gagan Palace is tucked away in a shopping plaza in Stratford directly across from the PATCO High-Speed Line on one side and along a fast-moving White Horse Pike (Route 30) on the other side. If you blink you might miss it...so sloow down so you can enjoy some really great Indian food!!

Went to try this Indian place today. The food was ok but not made with TLC. I had the goat chili masala. The sauce was good but the goat needed more time to cook and become tender. It was very tough. I have had goat dishes before at other Indian restaurants that were tender this was not: I brought it to the waiter and he was very nice and understanding and accommodating. He offered to make me a lamb chili masala to take home with me to try. My wife had the chicken tikka masala. She thought it was ok as it didn't have an authentic texture. It seemed they thickened it with flour. The vegetable Briyani was also good. It is unfortunate the food is not great! The service is as very friendly and good. Their restaurant was large and can hold many people but they need work and quality for their food.

Dinner was delicious and the spice level was exactly as ordered. The portions were huge... I highly recommend.

The food was very good at the lunch buffet. I don't know much about Indian food so I tried a little bit of everything. I'm not partial to spicy food and only 1 dish was too spicy. My only complaint is that many of the dishes were barely lukewarm.

Im honestly a little embarrassed that Im leaving this review so lately. Here I am thinking I'm updating my review when reality I failed my yelp game . This relationship spans over 6 years. Lots of history between Gagan palace and I. This was one of my first south jersey gems when I moved down here. A little taste of soul filling Indian cuisine. Before their large space now, it was a fairly small restaurant seating maybe 20-30 people at best. Good times- cant say I've dined in since their expansion. Ive done so much takeout from here and have tried so many of their dishes. All so delicious. Literally everything so good. Over the years I have noticed some of there main street dishes like tikka masala have become less flavorful (knocking them down a star). I wish it tasted as authentic as it once did. Regardless still delicious and amazing staff.

They have a Nice buffet. Lots of options. Food is always fresh. Samosa is very good. Dosa is made on order and served hot along with buffet.

I dropped in at Gagan on a recommendation and they were alright. I couldn't help but rate it against other nearby places. I tried a goat curry dish, chicken Tikka masala, vegetable samosa, and masala tea. The tea and samosas were very good. I would say that the chicken dish did not have the depth of flavors that I'm used to at a four or five star Indian restaurant. It was a little flat on the flavor profile. Not bad, but not at that upper tier. The goat was the same in this regard, it was good, but the depth of flavors wasn't there . Again, if a person has not tasted that fullness of flavor previously, they may not notice it.

It was so good! Fresh food and everything authentic! It came with an experience with how it was served, the food was good, rich and robust in flavor. We had the samosas too and they were great! Will 1000000% be coming here again! Do not hesitate, legit go already!!

This place is just plain foul. My buddies and I came for the lunch buffet and everything was just straight up COLD. The butter chicken is by far the worst butter chicken I've had in my life. It tasted like frozen pork meat; I'd rather have the butter chicken from those freezer aisles at your supermarket than this horrendous, pathetic excuse for Indian cuisine. The only redeeming quality was the price was cheap for an all you can eat, which it better had been. The palak paneer and the goat curry were not bad, but this place is by far the worst Indian restaurant I've ever been to.

This place is fantastic, and the service is absolutely nuts. Great food for a cheap price, let us bring our dog in, absolutely 5 stars.

Buffet is back, in fact only indian place that's doing their buffet again as far as I am aware. Sadly, however, it seems they are still having issues with roaches. We have been here 3 times since they started doing their buffet again and on today's visit I saw 2 roaches running around the salad bar area. Very disappointing, as I was really enjoying being able to eat at an indian buffet again, which is something that the pandemic had taken away that I missed the most. If owners of this place are reading this please have a company come in and take care of the roach issue, we'd love to return once you've taken care of it.

The chili lamb was amazing! It does take a long time and the restaurant is out of the way. It's so worth it

Buffet is back!!!! Gagan Palace is offering their buffet for dine-in at lunchtime (only) every day they are open, from 11:00 to 2:30. I arrived for a late lunch, expecting/intending to order from the menu, which I did, but looked over the buffet. It looked quite desirable! That said, my experience at lunchtime of both the masala dosa and mango lassi I ordered found them both to be below par. The curried potato filling for the dosa was dry and pretty flavorless. The side of mixed pickles I requested was necessary to provide a flavor spark. Unusually, per my experience, the potato curry included premium item cashews, but their presence didn't really seem to add much. The accompanying sambar (vegetable soup) was OK. I have never experienced a mango lassi with such a diluted flavor as was the case here, alas. Safety protocols were well observed and service was quite appropriate. Arriving about 2:00 PM, I had the dining room to myself.
