The coffee here is excellent. I have never walked out anything but thrilled with the flavor, including decaf espresso/latte. There are healthy milk alternatives, and great smoothies too. I purposely drive out of the way to buy my lattes here because the flavor is so above average. I've been doing this for years and have wished my local cafe would upgrade. For now I keep going to Surfside.

Highly recommend this place especially if you have a gluten and or dairy allergy! They have so many yummy options! The one girl who helped me, who also can’t have dairy, was extremely helpful and kind!! 10/10

Really disappointed in the food quality. No one wanted to finish their sandwiches and they weren’t cheap.

I was beyond excited to finally be able to get a gluten free breakfast sandwich for myself and my mom, but was really disappointed in the food quality. Both sandwiches were soggy and flavorless and I couldn’t finish mine. I will not being go back anytime soon. Kudos to the workers though for being so cheery on a busy Saturday morning!

I came here because I saw they had advertised gluten free options- very misleading. It’s frozen katz donuts and udis bagels. katz donuts cannot be left out they get very dry. Coffee was gross. Smoothie was advertised as real fruit, absolutely disgusting - just ice and artificial flavoring. Ordered the mango and he said he would add more, he just added the flavoring. Asked them to remake it and it took him thirty seconds and tastes like vanilla bean frappachino. No real fruit. The staff was very nice thought and I understand that they were busy- but very poor advertising and reflection of what the product is.

Ordered a Mango Tango smoothie and it for some reason had banana in it and the smoothie was complete artificial even though they advertised having fresh fruit smoothie.

The $16 breakfast bowl sucked A$$!! That’s supposed to be egg underneath. Hair in the açaí bowl. Rude staff as well.

Hard pass. Much better options within a two minute walk in either direction.

For context, I'm a 25 year homeowner on the next block. We usually get breakfast sandwiches out five or six times a summer but hadn't been in here for a couple of years until today.

An egg wrap and avocado toast took literally 40 minutes to come out. I got a quick shrug and was told they were super busy even tough there was only one couple ahead of me and one take out pick up in that time. They should have told us up front if the wait was truly anticipated. Very disrespectful of a customer's time. I would have ordered something else or done my nearby shopping while I waited.

My wrap was fine but my wife's avocado toast was barely toasted and soggy and the egg was cold. Inedible and into the trash it went. We were going to Anchor Market down the street anyway to food shop. She ordered an egg sandwich there and had it hot, properly cooked and in her hands five minutes later.

Prices are also on the high side for LBI - about 1.5x Anchor or the Bagel Shoppe nearby, both of which have better food and service. Lighthouse Deli is also cheaper and is a much nicer space.

Hard pass for me and all of 17th Street going forward.

This cafe serves a nice breakfast and portions are huge. I wish they could get the orders right, though. Yesterday a sandwich was missing, today the avocado which is addn'l $2.50 was missing. Sheesh!
