It’s no surprise that BLK SHP is quickly becoming a staple in the South Jersey area.
An intimate but cozy dining room painted a muted sea-foam and splattered with gold and brass accented mirrors surround diners. The room, flanked by a large open hearth fireplace sets the mood for a culinary journey.
The Wild Mushroom Ragout was to die for, such a lovely blend of creamy earthy flavors and crisp fresh baguette. The Grilled octopus was savory and perfectly paired with the lemon and olive oil accompaniment.
My server, Ally, was personable and attentive during my entire experience, always checking in and ensuring that I was enjoying the plates and offering her suggestions when asked.
The chef and manager also made their rounds through the dining room and ensured that myself, and other patrons, were well taken care of.
I absolutely cannot wait to come back and try new dishes, I’m confident they will be just as delicious!

We loved the eclectic range of menu options. Nothing disappointed. Three of us order a total of four dishes and a dessert. We had the Arepa Pastor, which was an explosion of taste blended so well, the patatas brava- my fellow diners loved and talked about recreating, the steak chimmichurri - we should have ordered two- scrumptious and the paella, the highlight for me. The room is beautiful and the fireplace added to the ambience. Our server was super busy, it seemed she was alone with a few support staff so there was a bit of a wit to get started. We look forward to returning. Oh and the bread pudding -WOW!

This place is a hidden gem! We went around 5:15 and there was a wait but they welcomed us into the bar. Everyone was SO nice. Our meal was fantastic. Mussels were the best I've ever had! Ribs were 10/10. Everything was amazing. We will 100% be back. Side note - the chef/owner came to talk to us.

Our experience at BLK SHP was amazing as always. Food was outstanding. Atmosphere was incredible. Heather, our server, was the best we’ve ever had at any restaurant. She was fun, polite, and attentive to all our needs. She even got me the tiny spoon I requested for dessert. ❤️❤️
First time eating brunch there. Atmosphere was great! Sadly our food was not. Wait time was 45 mins after being seated. Both orders were incorrect, Food was undercooked. When brought to attention of waiter he offered free dessert. He brought us the menu and told us to choose. After choosing we waited 20 more minutes for him to return and say the manager was giving him a hard time and we could no longer have the dessert! They offered it free, we didn't ask and it was due to the poor service, incorrect order and undercooked food. The manager should have came to speak with us to begin with for the discrepancy but didn't. Food was terrible, manager unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend,

This restaurant was recommended by our son and what an outstanding experience. Although listed as a tapas menu, the portions were filling and reasonable in price. The service was excellent and we were not rushed in our meal like some restaurants. In addition we were greeted by the owner as she circulated with her patrons, making sure they were enjoying themselves. Definitely will return here
