YUM!! My whole family agrees that your egg & cheese sandwiches are HANDS DOWN the best we’ve ever had. And the warm cinnamon roll… redonk!
I can’t wait to try all the prepared foods I picked up to bring down she shore for Labor Day Weekend. Thanks for kicking off the holiday for my family with lots of smiles and full bellies!

We love the Oldwick General Store. It’s a quaint country restaurant with wonderful food, good service……a lovely place to gather with family and friends.
Tonight we so enjoyed the monthly Chef prepped Gourmet Corn and Tomato dinner outdoors. Seated at long tables with wonderful people who gathered for this beautiful communal dinner. The five course meal was a delicious 5 star event. The fabulous chef, Sam Freund made it a memorable evening. It’s gonna be tempting not to go every month.

I was looking at the breakfast menu and I saw that an additional egg was $3. I can buy a dozen farm fresh eggs retail for $7. I moved on to the lunch menu.
I had the Greek Freak and it was very good and the portion size was large. I didn’t walk away hungry.

This quaint general store offers high end home made baked goods including their own bread and a gourmet breakfast that beats everyone in the same category. Price at a minimum for what you get. House made jam, pastrami, innovative omelettes and great clean coffee. Service is always on point. Highly recommend

We had a good experience overall - good inventive sandwiches with homemade rolls. Fresh potato chips and fries. Old country store ambience in a cute small town. I also like that they offer table service.
Here’s why it’s not 5 stars ….
1) while the rolls are homemade, it appears they’re used for all/most?of the sandwiches - it’s not suitable to use that roll for all the sandwiches, ie, there should be a variety of breads used (ie, rye, ciabatta, etc) - also the rolls, while good, don’t hold up to some of the heartier sandwiches
2) in particular, as concerns the pastrami sandwich, rather than the typical thin-sliced deli pastrami, the pastrami is served in huge chunks on the roll, which makes it nearly impossible to eat as a sandwich, as the huge chunks simply fall out of the roll (this is not rocket science here) - while I’m sure the chef likes his unique take on pastrami, do people actually prefer eating a pastrami sandwich this way?
3) finally, while it was a hot day when we were there, it was way too warm to comfortably have lunch in the dining area - please adequately cool the space so customers will be comfortable
Great little place. Great find

Come for breakfast, skip lunch. The sandwich rolls are awful. Bring back a good Kaiser roll! The bread makes the sandwiches impossible to eat - the bread overpowers the sandwich and isn't tasty. Also - what happened to the bakery that used to be there? It was such a wonderful place to get delicious cakes and pies - all gone. Bummed. Guess they have new owners.
Fantastic, the raspberry pancake was the special and it was perfection. Other standards also perfect, perfectly buttered toast :) Thank you!

This is a General Store. A place to get a sandwich and maybe soup. It has turned into an unnecessary gourmet wannabe establishment. Gone is the fantastic rye bread (I used to order a whole loaf) and the simple grilled cheese and deli sandwiches.
Keep it simple, clean and serve honest basic food that people want for lunch and or breakfast. Stop making it into something it was never meant to be.
I miss the old cluttered but busy version.

absolutely amazing
I discovered this little gem after blowing out a tire on 78 and wandering into Tewksbury looking for a mechanic. A wonderful surprise! The staff is welcoming and so friendly, and the food was delicious and healthy. Such a quaint and charming spot to enjoy a nice meal!

The Oldwick General Store is a staple of Oldwick, and rightfully so. You are immediately greeted by the historic nature of the building, and then further invested into the quality food and wonderful service!
