Great spot! Wish we had found it earlier in our trip. Good food, huge menu, and the ladies behind the counter were super nice.

Everything I have ever ordered at City Deli has been delicious - breakfast and lunch. The owner and staff are very friendly, and it’s obvious that they take great care in crafting great, homemade dishes.

If you dont mind been spoken to in a demeaning manner this is the spot. The owner of the deli seems to always be in a rush and has a horrible arrogant attitude. It was 2 customers total there when i walked in at 11:40am. I totally understand inflation has everything pricey but i find it pricey ESPECIALLY WHEN i look at menu it says $6.95 and i end up paying over $10.Not my 1st time there so i know her attitude stinks (its the closest deli to my workplace) Don't think i'll be going back, I had enough of the attitude and the price changes...dont want to be unfair, the food is fairly good.

Good afternoon, it is unfortunate that people like this work, where one goes to eat to spend a pleasant moment with coworkers. And a lady serves us, with a bad attitude, a poorly educated racist. Since we entered we felt that. But since she is an elderly person, she had only 1 staff to help her. Try to understand. But she was very rude, I asked for the toilet service and she told me that she didn't have the key, that I do want her to wait. While I was attending to my friends, but it was annoying. And I asked her for the bathroom again and she told me in a bad voice, I refused the bathroom again. And he approached my partner and said, "Don't bring these people to me." I serve people who work for the government, and I told her you treat me badly, I just wanted the bathroom, she told me to shut up and all that happened, she is Peruvian, and so am I, but the majority of compatriots are friendly, polite, it is unfortunate. We realized that he treated most people badly with that bad attitude.

Stopped in early today for a breakfast wrap. Wrap was nicely pressed, filled with pork roll, egg, cheese, and potatoes. Delicious and cheap. 5 bucks and change I think, but as they are a small family business they require $7+ to use a card. Some might think this is predatory on the customer but as someone that comes from a family business, I know it is in fact the credit card companies being predatory on the businesses & customers with their outrageous fees. I happily ordered a fruit bowl as well, which was stacked to the brim with big chunks of freshly cut fruits. Everything was delicious and the lady at the counter was very friendly and quick with preparing my order. Will definitely return.

Decided to grab lunch from here today. The taco meal looked appealing on the menu but there were no prices. The first lady that took my order was a bit rude and snippy with me. She said my order would take a minute and when I asked how long, she just walked away. Judging from all the people sitting there with no food, I figured I'd walk around the block and come back. My order still wasn't ready and I had to wait about 10 more minutes. Finally got my food and the waitress gave me a napkin and a fork. I asked her for a 2nd napkin and she told me, NO! She said the napkin I had was thick enough to handle the two tacos that I ordered! She then walked away!!! What kind of customer service is this??? Not going back!

Awesome home made style food. American and Latin items in the menu are both really good. Definitely one if not the best lunch place to go in downtown Trenton.

My husband and I were in Trenton to visit the capital and arrived early for our tour so decided to find a place to for Lunch. This deli was a gem…the homemade food was delish! Sit on the back patio if the weather is nice…you’ll feel like you are eating at a friends home.

Avoid going here if you can, the charge a 4% transaction fee just to use your card on top of also have to spend at least $7.95 before you can use your card which is illegal and predatory. It’s sad because they prey on state workers instead of trying to work with them. Take the walk and support the local shops further up such as Hummingbird or Dunkin’ Donuts where you will not be charged for using your card. Also be mindful of the older lady she is very moody and will snap on you at any moment it’s time for her to retire. The two times I’ve been there it was a bad experience won’t get me again.

If you're at the State House in the morning or a lunch time, this is really the best option within easy walking distance. Why settle for vending machine snacks, when you can have homemade Arroz con Pollo?

Good, but I definitely agree with others that pricing is not listed. Seems made up on the fly

Yummmm! Liliana took my order and when I told her it was my first time there, she hooked me up with a few samples of chicken fried rice, fried plantains, Pico, and another type of rice. I ordered the chicken tacos. Everything was so delicious and homemade! I'll be taking a walk from my office to this place for lunch very often!

Coffee is great but when they changed the milk to the Organic kind it did not agree with me so I started getting it black and bring my own milk. When I stopped buying it every day to save to move I was given a dirty look when I had explained my absence. I never went back again.
