I visited Cooper's Riverview on 8/16/25 and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent with good flavors and generous portions that made the meal stand out. Service was attentive and welcoming. What made the night even better was the live band (Pure Petty). The music and sound system created a fun and lively atmosphere. Cooper's Riverview is a great spot for enjoying a delicious meal while relaxing to quality live entertainment. I've been here before and I look forward to returning again soon!
Love this place!! We were there to see a band, Kindred Spirit, who were fantastic, dinner and drinks. Fabulous outdoor patio on the water with a beautiful bar. Drink prices were reasonable, as were the menu prices. Service was only okay but to be fair, the place was packed! Food was good. Will definitely be back with a crowd! Only negative and reason for 4 stars, not 5 stars, was too limited a menu. Could not find a dish I could eat with dietary restrictions & everything was pre-assembled, so couldn't accomodate changes for the allergies/food restrictions. Need some healthier, but still popular choices besides salads like grilled fish tacos, chicken & veggies, chicken milanese, broiled seafood, etc. Hope they will add to menu or have as daily specials options.
We've been to Cooper's for brunch many times and it has always been great. This time, they seemed to be having a problem with their A/C. We were there early so it was tolerable. It got pretty stuffy so we left earlier than expected. Our server was very good, very attentive. Assuming this is just a temporary issue, we would definitely go back.
Great experience starting at the door! Claudia was so helpful as we asked for certain requests to accommodate my elderly mother. The drinks and food were delicious and the Plush Band was incredible! Hope Coopers brings them back again soon!!! I love the whole outdoor atmosphere sitting by the river under the stars! One of my favorite places!
this place is just terrible. skip it.
We booked at a the normal brunch price 2 weeks before our reservation, then about a week before our reservation they said they were increasing the price by 160%! They said it was because they had an "upgraded" buffet that week. Of course, since it was a week before, we were screwed because we couldn't get reservations anywhere else. You would think they would have known it was going to be "upgraded" well before. At the bare minimum they would have known 2 weeks before? When we got there, they claimed they didn't have our reservation even though I showed it in my OpenTable app, as well as showing the texts where I confirmed my reservation. Only after waiting and realizing we weren't leaving did the hostess say she "found" our reservation. They proceeded to sit multiple parties ahead of us that had a later reservation time than us (over 20 people). Finally I went up and asked why all these parties with reservations after us were getting seated before us? She didn't have a good explanation other than they kind of forgot about us. The food was mediocre, at best, with the exception of maybe the omelette station. We all had one plate of barely any food, and did not go back for seconds. The regular brunch lists prime rib carving station (which was very gray), omelette station, belgian waffles. That is what the upgraded brunch had. So there was nothing upgraded, except maybe shrimp on ice which I don't know if they serve at their regular brunch, which was at the back and remained pretty much untouched by anyone the whole time we were there. But nothing worth a cost increase of 160%. The servers were very nice and attentive, and the dining room itself looked nice. Honestly, I'm a reasonable person, just wanted a nice experience with my family and it was hurdle after hurdle. There are plenty of other much better restaurants around. Save this place for the live music nights. Don't waste your money on the food here.
Surprised this place is still open. If it weren’t for the bands and servers trying their best to help we wouldn’t come here. There is an obvious management issue. The understaffed servers don’t have the supplies they need to do their jobs properly. Too bad because it’s a great atmosphere. Seems like the owners either don’t care or are too cheap to staff and stock the place.
Slowest seriously I've ever experienced. Our waitress was friendly as hell, but literally everything else sucked. Bland food. Slowewwwwww service. First and I last ever go there
Went early evening with a reservation and still waited an hour+ for food to come out. Steak and burger way overcooked and kids meal was wrong, however the pretzels were good. Waitress was kind but couldnt do anything about the food taking as long as it did. View is fantastic for a drink but would not order anything from the grill again after 3 of 4 meals being poorly made. I hope it was just a bad night because it looks nice and we had higher hopes for a good experience.
The door was subpar and our server came to our table only about 4 times including when she dropped and picked up the check. Also, for a buffet, gratuity of 18% was automatically added to the check which seemed a bit steep for the service we had received. For 8 people, we paid $400 including tip and this meal was not even worth half of that price. I would not recommend.

We went to see a band and have dinner with a group of friends. We ordered our food and 1 hour later nothing. Our waitress was so busy somewhere else we never saw her. After getting up and looking for her, we informed her we still haven't received our food. She checked on the status and found out the order was lost. They immediately said they were making our order. Another 25 minutes later our food was delivered. Half cold and salad was dripping with too much dressing. After eating never saw waitress to have someone clear the table. We sat with piles of dishes the rest of the night trying to enjoy the show. I guess when we want to see the band, we will eat at home before going.
I wish I took pictures of the meals! Delicious. Burger stuff with crabmeat! What?! Quick service and delivered hot. A busy night and all the servers were on top of their game. Weaving thru the dance crowd. And what an amazing night of music. The place was packed with “Best of Clapton” fans. And their set didn't miss a song and the level of playing was off the charts. All I can say is “🎶 you were wonderful tonight🎶”.
Sunday brunch buffet was nicely done! Our server Chris was amazing and friendly! We will definitely be back!
The price was low for the food and especially for the mimosas. The food choices were limited and were relatively inexpensive items. It was fine for what we paid, but this was not a special occasion brunch. We haven't been here in a while; it used to be better with more options of higher quality. The servers were friendly, efficient and went out of their way to be helpful.
The server was very accommodating and she gave us some great suggestions from the menu. Food was terrific. Crab Bisque and Marmont Salad. And we got lucky as that evening the "The Merzey Beat" had a tribute event celebrating so we had a fun ambience as well.
