This place hit the bullseye both times I've come. Best fried catfish I've had in NJ and authentic recipes for all the sides. It's what you expect it to be if you know what it should be. And that's high praise.

This place was recommended to me by a friend for really good whiting fish. I'm from out of state visiting. I walked in and there is a guy and employee behind the counter picking in his nose frantically and does not stop as we are waiting to see if he goes to wash his hands, he does not, but wipes his hands on pants, we walked right out! So disgusting, so we head to the one in Ewing another location and the cook is coughing and doesn't wash his hands, just so gross, no sanitary guidelines and you can tell it's a normal practice to be nasty, that's how people get sick. If you want to keep customers wash your hands and use sanitary food handling guidelines when handling the public's food. Just NASTY! I will never eat there. GROSS ... and I don't care how good the food is.

The fried Chicken was absolutely delicious. The fish was good, but soggy. The food itself was very hot. But the Black eyed peas were horrible. Tasted like they were taking out of a can and not season at all. The rice and gravy was okay with the gravy definitely seems to be a mix. My fiance has collard greens and macaroni and cheese and he did not enjoy it at all. The greens were not tender.
