On my way back from a work trip, decided to stop in NJ and have lunch with my cousin. Found this spot through a google search, and so glad we did. The reviews were good, the food more than lived up to it.
It's a family run restaurant with just a couple of seats and designed more for takeout food, but we decided to eat in. I had the non-veg plate (chicken tikka masala, dal makhani, tandoori roti, a big portion of rice and 2 onion bhajjiyas) and my cous had the sarson ka saag with makai ki roti. Both meals were really good. The chicken , dal and saag were excellent, and I have never tried makai ki roti that is so soft....its all freshly made and spice levels can be adjusted per your preference.
The highlight of our meal was speaking with the owner chef who came out and relayed his story. He cooks because it's his passion and the dishes served are based on his mother's original recipes. Down home Punjabi khaana. Mazaa aa gaya!
I decided to take some food home for the family. We are a 2 hours drive from the restaurant but I know I'll be planning trips such that we stop by for a meal in the near future.
I would highly recommend this spot....and if you get a chance, interact with the family and the chef while you're there.
Parking: They have a few parking spots on the premises.

Great local business offering fantastic quality food. Clean dining area and friendly service elevated the experience beyond just the food. After one dinner, I will definitely be returning in the near future to try more of their offerings. Highly recommend a saag (I’m partial to lamb myself!), along with their keema naan.

If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, this Indian restaurant is a must-visit! What sets this place apart is not just the delicious food but the incredible story behind it. The chef, a former corporate manager, left the business world to pursue his true passion: feeding people. And wow, does his passion shine through every dish!
The Mutton Chops Tandoori is an absolute standout—perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and simply unforgettable. Each bite is a testament to the care and dedication put into crafting these dishes.
What makes this place even more special is the heartwarming family environment. The chef is supported by his lovely wife, adding to the welcoming, homely vibe.
The combination of incredible food, a compelling backstory, and a cozy atmosphere makes this restaurant highly recommended. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just love discovering food made with passion, this is a spot you can’t miss!

This Indian restaurant is by far the best food I have ever had. A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me and wow, it’s my go to spot now for Indian food. It’s simply the best family owned and ran. They seem to be a very nice family. They show much gratitude.
Vegetarian options: Vegetable Manchurian is out of this world good!

the family that runs it is extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive to food allergy issues. the spicy chicken 65 was particularly flavorful.
it is intended mainly as a take out place but you can eat in as we did in its very simple but comfortable dining room. we would certainly come back if in the trenton area.
thank you to the singhs for their hospitality.

Mr Singh catered for a party at my home with about 30 people with a spread covering appetizers and main course both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Aside from the very positive experience in dealing with him and his restaurant, the food was amazing. I got compliments from almost every guest and guess what - there was nothing left at the end as people were happy to take leftovers away with them as well owing to how great each item was. Highly highly recommended. I am having another small party today catered by him. My go to place from now on!
