HORRIBLE SERVICE! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Small, dimly lit and semi-dirty. Ghetto young girls taking the orders and allow all their friends to skip everyone that's already in line waiting to order. Food is mediocre at best and definitely NOT worth the disrespect of the "staff". 1/10 do NOT recommend!

Got a sweet potato instead of fried plantains. The mac n cheese taste like velveeta. And the curry chicken is just trash.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I ordered my food on grub hub. Thank GOD I went to go pick it up. While I was waiting for the man in the back, a roach crawled across the sneeze guard. I just left and cancelled the order. When the owner called me back and asked why I left and did I want my order, I told him what happened, he just said “oh…okay. Sorry about that” and hung up (which let me know that they KNEW they have roaches. NEVER NEVER NEVER will is eat out of there.

Just bought a j*** chicken with rice and peas and fried dumplings and curry chicken and rice and peas for my wife. Everything was really good. Just wish the j*** chicken was spicy and the curry chicken was cut into smaller pieces. I guess that's a New York thing. Overall though the food was delicious.

The Dapper Chef is both a catering chef and runs a Jamaican spot in Trenton. While I've only had the food on occasion, the variety, authenticity, and freshness is unparalleled. Writing this months later, you could taste each high-quality ingredient. The scotch bonnet pops in the j*** chicken. The chef also offers a lot of treats like dumplings and fritters on a regular basis, which means the sides are very complementary to the food. I've done a poor job in my photos and they understate how much I really enjoy the food.

I ordered stew chicken and got a sloppy mess of bones and tasteless meat. That Mac and Cheese is blocky and dry and you don't even want to know about the fried plantains. The "Trenton Ice Tea" has Seamoss and that's cool but I didn't know that and I don't want to drink that. All in all ILL NEVER ORDER FOOD FROM HERE AGAIN.

I ordered curry chicken, mac, with white rice. It also came with I’m guessing cabbage I’m not sure what that was. But I could not eat one piece of chicken EVERYTHING had blood in it. I was so disappointed because I was craving curry for a while then to spend my money on raw chicken?? I would never get from them again omg and the rice was SOFT not al dente MUSHY! I learned my lesson tho. That’s what I get for wanting to try out this new place ig.
