What a beautiful place ! I have been here before when it was "mi bandera " This is by far the most incredible upgrade I have ever seen to a restaurant . Unfortunately, the service is not great , they ( wait staff ) need to be more educated , and the bartenders are way too slow , even when sitting at the bar you will have to wait a long time for a drink . They do make really good cocktails . The food is very good , my stake was overcooked , but the taste was on point . The price is very reasonable, I have seen reviews complaining about the price , it's ridiculous to complain about their prices , I actually think they could be higher, considering the type of restaurant. I love that they have valet parking.
I do have a suggestion, the music needs to be more vibrant. There is no point in having instrumental soft jazz at a dominican- fusion restaurant, play some classical merengue, salsa and bachata ( stay away from dembow, you don't want that crowd )
Also, don't allow people dressed as if they're going to a food truck, it makes the experience a little less special .
I 100% recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back .

No Spanish wines by the glass,sangria is not recommended , tasted like a juice drink, sent back, the Rib eye was really good, octopus tapa was so so, expensive at $25 small portion, dessert choices were few. I can’t even start to describe the horrific experience i had at this restaurant. The place is beautiful i will say but the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I had a large group of 11 people and we all placed the order at the same time we waited patiently for the food which took about 45 minutes when the meals arrived it was only for 5 of the 11 people once i complained they began to bring orders but the side orders were never given to us. It took 30 minutes to get one drink order. The Manager has no clue of how to make a customer happy she actually smirked when i approached her of the service. I would never ever go back or refer anyone. Save your money!!!

The worst place to go to eat, we had a reservation at 8:00 pm and the delay to eat was horrible, the food was brought in three rounds, the supervisor is not professional, she came to talk to my husband and hugged him as if she knew him, zero ethics.. I do not recommend it.!

This place is amazing, and it is definitely a must visit in Hudson County. Expect a more upscale attire to fit the ambiance. Their menu has such a good mix that there's something for everyone. And the drinks are also upto par. There is valet parking, and I would suggest making reservations so you don't have to worry about waiting.

My experience was great, good service from everyone, good food, the prices were a little high in my opinion but the portions of food were perfect.
The worst first impression. On the recommendation of social media, we decided to drive almost an hour to experience Carro café. Since we arrived at approximately 6:15 pm on a Friday, the parking lot was empty. It gave us a bad feeling. When we went up to the restaurant, there was absolutely no one eating at the tables. There were 3 girls and they immediately asked us if we had reservations. We didn't have one and they told us we couldn't dine without a reservation. He told us we could sit at the bar and I have never liked dining at bars. We were not given the courtesy or attempt to sit down. We ended up leaving the restaurant. Outside the restaurant we called to see what they were saying about the reservation and they told us we could go immediately. Why lose potential clients? They lost a customer who knows how to pay for good service and good food. Management should analyze this type of service and observe the negative reviews on Google. Just as you invested in such a nice place, invest in hiring people who know the business.

I don’t live in the area but met clients there. So thrilled I did. The place is beyond gorgeous with no detail spared. We ordered a ton of food giving me the opportunity to try a lot. There was nothing that was anything other than delectable. There is also plenty of free parking. I would go back…I would actually go out of my way to go there.
