The owner’s constant snobby attitude ruins this place. They act like customers are beneath them and treat basic questions like an inconvenience. No matter how good the food might be, it’s not worth being disrespected. Save your money and go somewhere you’re actually welcome.

We were in from out of town, staying in New Jersey as our home base for day trips into NYC. On our first night we drove to Hamilton Park to take in views of the skyline, and then were looking for a place to eat with our two nieces. We found Fork Hill Kitchen and are so glad we did. We did not have reservations, but arriving around 5:30, they were able to accommodate our party of 4 and seat us right away. The food, drinks, ambiance, and service were all top notch. The gentleman that showed us to our seat was charming and when he found out we were in from out of town, he chatted with us for a bit, and made us feel so welcome. We each got a different dessert and everyone raved about theirs. Just a really lovely, cozy, welcoming place, with delicious food. Thanks for a great first night of our magical December NYC trip!

Popped in for a cocktail. Morgan was a fun and friendly bartender, and the couple who owns the restaurant are very sweet. I hope I get a chance to come back for dinner before we wrap up our stay in New Jersey or on a future trip.

Dec 2025 update: still the BEST restaurant in the area. Food, drink,and hospitality are unmatched. Remains best burger in the tri-state area (and I've had 50+ at this point). The duck on the menu right now is amazing. Cooked perfectly (a high bar given the finicky nature of duck) with the right accompaniments. And of course the service is still so warm, inviting, and personalized. Forkhill is still our favorite spot!

My fiance and I have been coming here several times a month since we first discovered this neighborhood gem in August. Ed and Brenda are always incredibly welcoming, and the staff are all fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect. We always bring our out-of-town guests here and have recommended this place to friends and acquaintances alike, and they've all raved about their experiences as well.
