On the last day of our small 4 day vacation we wondered into Garden Cafe and bistro. My handsome 6 foot tall up state NY friend made small talk with the waitress. She seemed very happy with the conversation that they had! But let me tell you we had a beautiful breakfast at Garden cafe everything was divine and we will be going again if we are in the area. Thank you for such great service! I saw a woman eating there with a dog in her purse it made me smile and laugh (my tummy rumbled even). Great spot must try! 11/10!!!!

Good points: 1. We got a table immediately (but of course, the place was not busy—only 3 tables with customers). 2. Our server came quickly to take the order, and we got our drinks within 5 minutes. 3. Drinks were good (guanabana smoothie and watermelon lemonade).
Bad points: 1. The server took our order but never came back—we wanted to ask about the long wait for food. 2. We got our food after 32 minutes, and it was just 2 omelets. 3. The first dish came, and the second one arrived 5 minutes later. 4. Both omelets were not warm when served. 5. The restaurant had music playing, but there were technical problems—the music kept stopping, leaving long periods of silence. 6. The server brought the check, but we had to go to the bar to pay. There were several staff working at the bar/cashier area, but nobody paid attention to the dine-in customers. 7. We know about tipping, but due to the bad service and experience, we decided to leave only 15%. However, the cashier charged 18% automatically without asking. When we complained, she said that they always charge that amount, and she was not friendly at all. 8. When we arrived, only 3 tables were occupied, and just one was waiting for food before us. Still, we waited 32 minutes for omelets. The cashier’s excuse was that they had many online orders, but there was no notice about this, so customers could decide whether to stay or leave.
Definitely bad service—it doesn’t make sense to come back to this restaurant.

Other than this, at some point i understand credit card fee is common in every restaurant/cafe/bistro. But 18% gratuity for 2 people? Waiting 35 minutes for two omelettes and charging %18 is unacceptable and i was not even able to ask server about why food is late because they are all behind the counter all the time.
When i was paying for the bill she informed me there was %18 charge. I did not see on the menu but if there is anywhere in the menu i am okay to correct myself.
And when i asked server why you guys have long wait time today she was not really friendly and she said we are too busy with online orders. And all i said was it would be nicer if you could tell us you guys have 30 minutes line. She didn’t even answer me and handed me to receipt.
Overall food is not bad and i think better than average, server and management really needs to be improved, prices are acceptable . But total disappointment for us. Hope they do better!

Visiting from Florida. Great breakfast food and service. I got the Oreo Ice Cream Waffles w/ Strawberry Syrup, which I wouldn't normally get. But for a sweet-tooth breakfast, it was incredible. My friends got normal breakfast items and enjoyed them very much. I reccomend visiting and would come back should I return to NJ.

I came here with a friend to have a quick bite to eat. I ordered a Greek salad and a blackberry smoothie, and he got a passion fruit smoothie and a sandwich.
Although the server was kind, the blackberry smoothie tasted slightly of onions - almost as if the same appliance was used to chop vegetables before chopping the blackberries. The passionfruit was passable. When I let them know about my issue with the blackberry, the manager told me it would be a two dollar charge for a new smoothie (for ingredients, which is understandable), or I could get an iced tea. I asked for an iced tea with lemon, and when she brought it out, it was actually nearly undrinkable due to how much lemon juice was put in.
The salad and sandwich were fine, but I worry that my salad was also tampered with based on the reaction and retaliation in the iced tea. When I went to pay, an auto gratuity of 18.75% was applied that was not mentioned on the menu - please be aware that based on other reviews, this on all checks. I was heading on a flight and didn’t have the energy to argue about it, so we left. Also, they charged for the smoothie + $2 instead of changing to the slightly less expensive (~$0.50) iced tea plus the $2 for the fruit wasted. The bill total was $58.81 with the included gratuity.
Overall, it was a really awful experience. I’m sure that if you have no issues, it would be fine. However, I’d be careful if you have any trouble with your food and just not mention it - or steer clear.

This place was super, super cute ! The lemonade is to die for especially the mango. Love thqt they have 2 entrances and the ambiance is really great inside also. I would say good is decently priced, is tasteful, and is a good portion. The waitress was also great. My only complaint was they took a bit long, and my waffle was a but over cooked, but other than that, they get a solid 9 out of 10.

Food was very good. So good that it got very crowded in the restaurant. Luckily we came before the storm but was hard to talk and get around the small restaurant. I would try and beat rush hour if I came again.
My overall experience at this restaurant/cafeteria was astonishing and perfect. As someone who went to dine in for breakfast, I chose the ‘Choco Chip’ pancakes and the ‘Mochachino’ drink. The taste of it is immaculate —- however, be aware that some of the dishes presented on the menu come larger than shown in the image —- I would definitely recommend this if you are, especially, good with sweets, and come with a group of people for the serving size.

Umm...the hubs & I ordered the huevos pericos today and let me tell you. THEY WERE SO DAMN DELICIOUS that I think I have to fight the chef! (LOL Just Kidding). Seriously though - I wanted to lick the plate!! And the sauce that came with it, with that little kick? Oh snap...those were the best eggs I've had in a really long time!!!

We had a bad experience at this cafe. The service and coffee were terrible. The food was average. The cappuccino was super light and not hot enough with weird taste. The waitress was completely unhelpful. She overcharged us for an extra shot. When we mentioned that the coffee wasn’t good and we couldn’t drink it, she remained very serious. We paid in full, tips included, but I mentioned the coffee issue three times. She didn’t pay attention, didn’t even apologize. I was very disappointed. There was no empathy or customer service.
