This is the first place with good food I'll never go back to. I've ordered pick up 3+ times and every time without fail at least 1-3 items are forgotten and I'm left with an incomplete order. My last and final order from them I received my food from the hostess Linda, she was nice enough in person and after my leaving with the yet again incomplete order I stopped and double checked emptying the entire bag to be positive the recurring problem hadn't happened again. Of course it did so I went back told them what they were missing and Linda came back with the missing item. Considering I didn't want to wait any longer and was clearly dealing with incompetence I went home. I attempted to call them after returning home and eating(food is good) but my call was received by Linda who quite literally didn't let me speak to a manager. I'm not sure if this is their protocol to have a rude hostess prevent paying customers from speaking with their bosses but this is the reality at Mama Sushi. In summary even with good food it's consistently been the worst take out experience of my life. It's like a fast food joint with an alcoholic manager you never get to speak to.

But the ambiance is tough: the red light in the back room makes it hard to identify food and gave me a headache. To compound this, despite very cool walk art, the tables and booths were visibly worn and beat up.

Ok so I've been to this particular spot maybe 5times and it never disappoints, the pitcher of Rum punch is always tasty. Sushi is wonderful so many options and it's super fresh and delish. We have also had the fried calamari and spicy shrimps appetizer and it's very shareable and yummy. They even have valet parking which is the best at this location in and out easily and they have hookah.

This place was very disappointing. Food wasn't very good and over priced. ALSO, one of the employees took it upon themselves to add more tip to my check! The bill had already included a tip so I didn't add more tip. A few days has past by, I checked my bank statement and my bill went up because more tip was added. I've called Mamasushi to talk to a manager about this situation but apparently, there's never a manager available. I've already contacted my bank about this situation since Mamasushi was useless. Mamasushi needs to review their employees because this is completely inappropriate and disrespectful. I'll never be going to this place ever again.

I was invited here for my birthday. I was not disappointed. The venue was spacious and beautiful. The food was amazing. Many restaurants claim Asian fusion but few deliver so well. The highlight of the afternoon however was my server Drew. She was spectacular. She was knowledgeable and extremely welcoming with a great personality. She even went out of her way to bring dessert with a candle in it to sing happy birthday to me when no one had even asked her to do it. Overall it was an amazing experience. I will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend it.

So me and my girls are trying a new restaurant every month and mast month in May we went to Mamasushi in Manhattan. We were seated right away even though it was busy. It's a restaurant with hookah and outdoor dining. The vibe is soooo dope!! They have over 50 sushi roll combinations. They have your typical sushi rolls, but imagine with steak or chicken or chorizo instead of fish. It's Japanese dining with Spanish flavors. The drinks the food...incredible!! Our server was a whole vibe. He danced and sang with us lol, and he answered any questions we asked. I'm not a hookah person lol but my sisters are and if you like hookah then I highly recommend you try this spot. I gave a 4 star cause the bathroom was nasty, they definitely need a bathroom attendant or have someone check it randomly throughout the day. Other then that we loved it here and do plan on going back.

3 stars on the food, it took a while. Dont get the fried chicharron - its basically store bought pork rind chips with some sauce and bits of pork belly. Sushi was not good, rice was mushy and fish didnt taste fresh. Also got bbq duck with rice...have had better. Way over priced and food doesnt match the price paid. Also beware, they automatically tack on 18% "service fee" to the bill already.

This 5 star review is specifically for the service I received at the bar. I unfortunately don't know the bartender's name but he's a younger guy & we recognize one another as I've been in previously. Today an intoxicated man was making me feel uncomfortable & the bartender made me feel safe & supported as we navigated the situation without causing a scene. I think it's important to highlight these moments. The menu is unique & wonderful, but when I go to a restaurant, my experience is always determined by how the staff makes me feel. I'm very glad to know there are allies working here & I will be back again for sure. Thanks for hiring great people, Mama Sushi!

So guess what yall It was date night and your girl was craving sushi so i decided to introduce my mans to my new favorite sushi spot. Let me tell you first and foremost they have the best steak and lobster rolls. They were unfortunately out of the molten lava cake so i had to get the coconut flan instead. It was good. They have hookah as well. Do not i repeat do not swallow or eat whole the wasabi you will die slowly. They have a small parking lot available or street parking. Definitely make a reservation in advance. Total bill for two $78
This place has changed a lot through the pandemic. I use to love coming here. I went tonight and the food came out cold and looked thrown together quickly.. We still ate it but the quality of service and food has changed a lot. I won't be going back.

The El Sobereno rolls were good. The spring rolls were bland. The jack punch was a little sweet but pretty good. The staff was pleasant and friendly. We will try it again. IMPORTANT NOTE: the restaurant adds the gratuity to the bill no matter the Party size...it was 4 of us. I feel like they should mention that on the website or something.

The food was amazing. They were under staffed and we waited a while, however the bartender and the hostess really came through and basically took our order and gave us the best service. They were just amazing they really went above and beyond for us. They truly made the experience just one of a kind. They are truly a Gem and hope that management recognizes such amazing duo. this was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and so were the drinks, but what we really enjoyed was the service. Drew was our waitress and she was just outstanding, she was extremely attentive, respectful, and so kind. It could get really easy for a waitress to forget about you especially when they're so busy, but she made us feel like we were her only table. She had the best recommendations, she suggested we get the calamari to start and then to get a bento box so I could try a little bit of everything, it was delicious. will definitely coming back, hopefully Drew can be our waitress again :)
