This place is great -- they take time to prepare the food and are legitimately Italian. Coffee is good too. Very great place to have in the neighborhood!

Buena comida y barato!!! Y siempre me gustaba ir allí antes de irme a Florida. Y cuando vengo por estos lados me gusta ir a comerme un chimi o comida!!!

A friend told me about Toscana. And to be honest I am going to have to come back here and experience it again to give it another chance.I did like that they had a good amount of seating available. I was able to do my work on a couch comfortably, charge both my phone and laptop. So it's great for working. When I stay I like to have my coffee in a mug rather than a coffee to go cup. The banana nut muffin was rather hard, not as fresh. And the humming of 3 large refrigerators is quite annoying. But that's all. But like I said, I'll give it another chance and see my experience then because it is close to home and I would rather come here than drive all the way uptown.

Cute little coffee shop in the area. This place is a walkable distance and great to grab a cup of coffee and muffin in the mornings. I do wish I lived a little closer because I would come here often! The prices are very reasonable too and they have a good amount of seating.

UPDATE: new owners? Never a familiar face anymore. Or just high turnover of employees? Either way, I feel this place has really went down hill. It's even looking pretty shabby. The nice furniture has been replaced with cheap-o looking furniture. Walls painted poorly and wood floors all banged up. Dirty. Food spilled all on the floor. Gnats everywhere and on the food in the display case. My croissant (this place used to have the BEST croissants) was burnt and inedible. Took two bites and threw it out. Only good thing is the prices have went down, but you get what you pay for. My cappuccino was much less expensive than usual, but also not as yummy. Just okay. What happened????

Toscana is a lovely little place with delicious coffee and authentic Italian croissants and sandwiches. The shop came to Union City about a year ago with a different owner (Mario) who had to return to Italy in order to take care of his mother. When I met the new owners, I was quite worried that the shop would turn into something different, and lose its authentic edge. Fortunately, that hasn't happened. Though it is undergoing a bit of renovation at the moment, it has surely not lost his charm. Extra points if you go in while Fabio is working--that man is as Italian as you can get! Sweet and loves conversation. I especially enjoy his Americanos and specialty sandwiches!

This place has been solid since day 1. Today I got the daily special: a pressed panini with grilled chicken, broccoli rabe, melted provolone, pesto and balsamic vinegar on focaccia. Highly recommend!!

when you walk in its ALWAYS like this: 1 person behind the counter, and 3-4 ownergers sitting around, watching. - I GET YOU WANT TO LOOK BUSY BUT ITS AS FAKE AS MOST OF YOUR REVIEWS!! i had broccoli cheddar soup that was so old and bad the creme had separated. ew. I have witnessed co workers send pizza back 3x to be reheated. 3x! Warning - don't try the donuts or pastries they are old and will chip your teeth! Been sitting there forrrrr evvv orrrrrr ::::sandlot voice::::
