One of the best roasters I've ever seen. You should go over there and talk to them in person and get tips about the coffee you are getting. The owner, Richard knows what he is doing and he knows what roast level brings out which flavor and he is extremely helpful.

Like most astute coffees, these enchant and are spiritually satisfying - the nuances are "alive" on the palette. Today, I tried for the first time their delightful Oaxacan varietal. The Viennese roasting treatment deftly enhances the delicate milk chocolate and floral notes Mexican coffees are coveted for.

For Lovers of Correctly Roasted Coffee! I've been drinking Red House since 2010 when I was a Cool Beans regular (Oradell, NJ). They seem to know how to roast to my liking, allowing a strong brew with real mouthfeel. I've moved twice since North Jersey, to Kansas, and now Colorado, and I seem to have a lot of trouble finding the right beans. So I've been ordering from their website. They still make the correct "fully-roasted-but-no-burn" profile that I love! If you prefer a roast in which you can find the nuances of the bean without a "charred" aftertaste you should check it out! Love It! Highly Recommeded!

We order our coffee by the 10 lb bag; once we "met" Red House Coffee at a farmer's market in New Jersey, we have never bought our coffee anywhere else--and, we are near Fairway, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and the same million Starbucks every other New Yorker is. In life you need the best equipment. That is, the better that all the little parts that make up the whole experience are (boots pack and sleeping bag for hiking, soap mop and mop head for mopping) the better the experience. Brewing coffee is no exception. For me, its a necessary part of my morning ritual. Shower, kettle, dress, grind and when the kettle goes off I press my coffee. The better the bean the better the morning. Red House Roasters gives you that "better" for your beans. After a discussion with the owner, its clear that he's not just passionate but obsessed. He was telling me things about the bean I didn't even know people considered!! Fair trade, organic - he scopes out all of his beans himself and tries many different roasts on each. The result is a fantastic cup of coffee. The aroma emanating from the bag alone is worth picking up a pound but grind and soak those babies in hot water and you got yourself a morning party!
