The owners merged Carisbrooke Cafe and Mento's South Philly Italian Ice into one business and have renamed it North Beach Cafe and Creamery. They relocated both businesses to a new location at 5216 Atlantic Ave. in Ventnor. Phone number is 609-487-7560. They open for breakfast and continue operations throughout the day into the evening hours, including ice cream and water ice offerings until 9 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends. They have fresh baked goods on offer every day, many sandwiches and full meals. Lines form throughout the day as folks wait for takeout orders. Delivery is also available.

The owner is nasty and rude. Look at my large cappuccino for 5 bucks. Hey, Board of Health, there are dogs literally sleeping on the floor of the dining room. Total joke!

My church The Cathedral Grace Family Church had our end of the year MSM (Men Strengthening Men) men's fellowship breakfast there, we had 20 men, young men and boys in attendance. My bishop was overwhelmed with the excellent food, service, the comfortable atmosphere and of the view right on the boardwalk. I am a foodie, preferably breakfast and this place has become my favorite, the best I've come across. I had a veggie omelet, veggie sausage and the most delicious waffle. TRULY EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!

Full choices for breakfast, served with good coffee, by a young and friendly staff. We were staying at an Air B&B up the street and had breakfast there every day.
We walk about 10 blocks down the Boardwalk to enjoy this small cafe where we find well prepared food, always pleasant service, and my favorite eggs Benedict!
