Maybe we should have tried the steam buckets. They looked good. The lobster bisque was awful. The scallops were ok. The lobster roll was pretty good. I might return and get the steam bucket.

We dined in with a party of 8, 2 of which small children, and they handled it great! Food came out in a timely manner, everyone’s boils were delicious, and service was awesome. Will be back for sure and recommend to all interested!

I have been craving for a place that serves wonderful seafood, this restaurant satisfies that desire. The service is good and the time you have to wait is not much depending on the amount of food you have ordered. I recommend calling ahead of time as I remember being a fast food worker and being thankful whenever I was given a heads up. 5 stars, my only 'warning' for those who plan on going to eat in, please know that there are only a few tables as the amount of space they have been given is limited. I believe most of this satisfaction comes from the employees being understanding, especially a Hispanic woman in there who I saw wearing sanitary protection, it relieved my anxiety of having random people touching my food. She was quick with my food (but still made sure it was properly cooked) and seemed to be enjoying what she does. For those who need a quick peek, here is the picture of my order, a Maryland Boil (I personally added the lobster tail)

Our first time in this restaurant, very clean and cool staff. We love it. For sure I'm coming back next summer.

A quaint & small seafood cafe with various Ocean decor. Lobster tail was great and so was the macaroni & cheese fried clam strips were slightly overcooked but other than that a relaxing and great place to eat seafood that doesn't break the

we placed a delivery order and were looking forward to some good seafood. To our dismay the food was burnt. the clam strips were mostly burnt. The flounder platter contained 2 pcs unseasoned flounder that was burnt and dry. The lobster bisque was not good either. The mussels came with no sauce it was dry and was the most edible.Very disappointed. will never order from here again.

A little pricey but it is to be expected for the area. Food was pretty good (had the savory Lobster bisque, Jersey boil, Lobster mac and cheese and delicious crab rangoon. (Fried clams were not very good.) The service was exceptional!

Homestyle shore seafood. Great time, great evening, great place.PJs is not large, maybe a dozen seats inside with 6 tables outside, so a reservation is advised. They have plans to expand to over 100 seats just down the block shortly. The experience is like going to a friend's shore home and your friend has several great seafood boil recipies.Service was very friendly and enthusiastic, including PJ himself. Friendly vibe with the customers too, we met another couple outside, started talking and shared a table with some BYOB. Highly recommend and we will return to see PJ and the Buckets crew.

I experienced the PJ Buckets magic two weeks ago, and I am still thinking and craving their excellent lobster boil. I have told everyone I know that the lobster boil from PJB in the NJ Boil was truly a life changing lobster boil and they need to experience one themselves! A swift walk down Dorset Ave, with some Coors in the cooler (PJB IS BYOB!), a great seat inside overlooking the people and restaurants surrounding, a mouth watering lobster boil with lobster tail, crab, shrimp, scallops, sausage, potatoes, onion and corn doused in butter, white lemon garlic seasoning is to die for, and can’t forget the delicious corn bread, a true summer nights dream! I already told my husband I want to go back for my birthday. Great job guys! I can’t wait for your move to Ventnor Plaza next summer, you will find me there

My wife and I have been here a few times. It is usually pretty good, and the service is always fantastic. However this last time, my Italian Boil was underwhelming. First, the shrimp and lobster were very undercooked… my boil came out almost 10 full minutes before my wife’s. They re-heated the undercooked food without any issue and even threw in extra mussels, but it shouldn’t have come out that undercooked. Also, the Italian boil is advertised as a “flavorful italian gravy”, and containing sausage. There was one small knob of sausage (the size of a small meatball) and the “gravy” was unflavored tomato sauce. It tasted like they just dumped sauce out of a can on the seafood with no other preparation. Very sour, no depth, no seasoning, other than the red peoper I requested. It is not an Italian tomato gravy (cooked over multiple hours with meat and herbs and vegetables enhancing the flavor). Additionally, they break-up the pasta before cooking it, so there are no strands of pasta, just chips and pieces of pasta. If you are looking for an italian seafood gravy, this is not it.Finally, they forgot my wife’s lobster tail. They made it, but they served it to her after she had nearly finished her boil and we asked for it.The staff was super nice and apologetic and accommodating. We will be back in the future because the food is good and the service is nice. But stay-away from the Italian Boil if you already have an idea of what it is supposed to be.

If you want authentic southern style seafood boil without traveling to the south this is the spot to go. The food is punched with flavor and you get your moneys worth. As soon as I received my order I had to message mom to let her know “You can take me out of the south, but you can’t take the south out of me. ??☺️”
