I'm honestly confused by the rating on this place. The only thing I can ascertain from this, is that these votes are from people who haven't had decent sushi. The rice was overcooked and nearly smashed into a paste, the "wasabi" is clearly poorly colored diluted horseradish and somehow they managed to mess up spicy mayo. I've had better sushi at mediocre buffets for 1/4 the cost. Perhaps I'm spoiled by my local sushi spot (Wasabi, Willow Street Pa) (HIGHLY recommend btw*!), but you'd expect better quality in NJ next to the ocean than in bumf*ck Pennsylvania. Go to Pulia for some authentic Italian food, I wish I had.

I’ve order takeout multiple times from rainbow with no issues! Everything was great! But i just ordered takeout tonight and decided to tip cash rather than on my card and i found HAIR in both my kani salad and fried rice. To say i’m disappointed is understatement. This seems spiteful and purposely done. Unfortunately i won’t be ordering again.

We ordered the shrimp and filet mignon hibachi dinner to go! It was the best hibachi I’ve had in a long time. So delish! The sauce was perfect and there was plenty of food. The salad was fresh and dressing was so good. I had asked for no onions for one of the orders and there was none in the rice or the rest of that meal. They were very accommodating and my husband appreciated that very much. When I went to pick up the food everyone working was so friendly and nice. We will be going back!!

In A Nutshell:
-Rainbow was a good spot for me while I was in Atlantic City. -I was looking for some decent Japanese food & this place was among the choices. -I liked that I could bring in my own bottle of wine. -I also liked their generous portion of chicken teriyaki, which hit the spot big time.
Overall, the service was really friendly, thank you Rainbow!
My experience was disappointing. I waited for my order for 30 minutes, and when it finally arrived, the food was warm or even cold, and it was poorly prepared. I hope you will improve your service in the future

Very nice little Japanese restaurant. Hibachi was served in a big bento box style plate and tasted very good. Overall very cool little place definitely recommend!

Best sushi restaurant at the Jersey shore, and comparable to the best sushi restaurants anywhere. Not only is their sushi wonderful, and the people serving you could not be nicer. Excellent hibachi prepared in their back kitchen too. We have been coming here for four years now, and incredibly, they keep getting better with new rolls and appetizers. And it’s BYOB :)!!!

We tried Rainbow for the first time last night and it was excellent. The sushi tasted fresh and was nicely rolled. The hibachi entrees were also very good, and massive. They give both noodles and fried rice! This will be our new go-to spot.
