Host and waitstaff, we're very nice and helpfull. I knew the place as a diner 40yrs ago! It's come a long way as far as food and atmosphere. I ordered the chicken shish kabobs, tasty but the chicken was a little overcooked, my date ordered the hamburger ? w/ all the works and really enjoyed it!

Blew our minds away.Frequent all the places in the area (avenue, parkside etc). Thought this was still a diner. Went in while getting an oil change at mavis.It is clean, the food is fresh, the portions are big. Quickly became a new favorite.You DO have to pay for bread (saw some upset people by this) however once it is put on the table you quickly understand why. Multiple kinds of flaky, delicious bread and artisanal spreads. Not your average bread basket.Wish the ascetic was less diner but definitely an upgrade from before.
Very nice ambience. All of the staff are very pleasant. Food was excellent. The shrimp stuffed with crabmeat was delicious. Portions were a good size and the prices are reasonable. I have been there twice now, once for breakfast and again for dinner. I would definitely recommend and I will be returning again.

– It's not often that I write, "never disappointed", but it is certainly, the case with the Verona American Grill. I have eaten there many times and have tried different food items each time whether it was brunch or dinner. – Our last visit included Blackened Salmon with sautéed vegetables, Bronzino with asparagus and Jumbo Shrimp stuffed with crabmeat over vegetable orzo. One of my guests usually makes some excuse to take a portion home, but not on this visit. She almost licked the plate clean. Actually, we all did. – We began the meal by sharing Artisan baked rolls and spinach parmesan crusted Crab cakes. Delightful. We ended by enjoying some New York style Cheesecake with our coffees. – I highly, recommend the Verona American Grill to couples, families or even if you come alone. Either way, you will feel at home and leave satisfied. – I would add that this establishment may lack sophisticated ambiance but more than makes up for it with five-star quality food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Weekday night. Dirty bathrooms. Appetizer order of wings, we got 5 wings , thought it was a mistake so let it slide. Very good salad. Dinner average. Service awful. Had to get an order to go for someone and they wanted wings. Got home opened it up 4 wings. Really nice owner and I hope they figure it out but for the prices and selection there are better places. I hate not giving good reviews.

Ordered from this place tonight and the food was not good. Chicken sandwich and shrimp taco had a strange taste to both. Disappointed to say the least, especially for the price we paid for this meal. Will not order again.

Happen to stop here a fewmonths ago while taking my father to a doctors appointment up the street.The food is phenomenal!Such flavor and taste. We have been back here 3 times already and we live in Sussex county. Definitely recommend this establishment to all the locals around here. It’s a must try!!!

The food in this place is phenomenal. Each entree is fresh and delicious as are the awesome appetizers and salads. The owner is welcoming and certainly aims to please. My family and I have been here multiple times now and we are never disappointed. If you still have room after you dine, the desserts are so good they'll make you remember them long after they're gone. Menu varies so we've had a chance to sample many dishes.
