Good Service is based on skin color

The multitude of negative reviews are sadly truthful. How you can stay in business when you have patrons waiting over 40 minutes for service (which included 15 minutes to be seated because the bar area was full)? I can sympathize with staffing issues, but the waitress who finally did come down to the table area took drink and food orders from tables who were seated after us. It was like we were in a blind spot. No eye contact could be made as she stood facing away from us. Adding insult to injury, they were even served their drinks and one table received an appetizer before we said to hell with it and simply walked out. Also, Open Table reviews mimic the Google reviews, so the hostile replies you see here from the alleged management are just another symptom of the problems.

I get that when there is a show at the adjacent theater that it can get busy. We arrived 2 hours prior to the start of the show. While the bar area was full, the other half of the restaurant was empty when we arrived. We looked into the bar area, and there were no seats, so we waited by the stairs for about 15 minutes before anyone seated us and provided menus. There was a line of about a dozen deep behind us, and they were also seated shortly after. 25 minutes after that we walked out without anyone taking even a drink order, yet a few of the small groups that were seated after us received drinks and one group was already eating an appetizer. The waitress never looked our way and would stand with her back toward us. Attempts to flag her over where futile. When we left, we learned why some of the responses to these negative reviews are so hostile. They think they can get away with it because there is nothing else like this in the area. This is the "bright spot" on what had to be a once thriving main street, but now partially vacant and run down. There is a shuttered church across the street, so what does that say? Revitalization begins with those leading the charge to make a positive impact and draw in steady commerce. This place may be good for locals, but for events, they need to set the expectation by keeping someone at the hostess station (or in the least, having a manager keep an eye on the waiting area) to communicate that there is a staffing issue and wait times are high. We would have understood and had more time to find a place outside the area. OpenTable even has a messaging feature that could've been used as we had a reservation. Sadly, we simply now have a reservation for giving them a try.

Went to Kaycee Ray’s last night they had ONE server and at that time the place was busy. We were seated at a table that had not been wiped down so we asked for it to be cleaned. The waitress took care of it right away. However the edge at the window was filthy. It looked as though someone did work above and left the fallen Sheetrock/sheetrock dust there and it was never cleaned. To our surprise my food came out fast! But the apps were brought out w the food. The only thing good were the piping hot fries! The chicken tenders had a weird color to them, the beer cheese for the pub pretzel had a hard coating on the top, my friends nachos were stale and the meat was soo dry! After the people left the bar to go to the show at the theatre I asked for silverware and never received it. We were never asked if we wanted anything more to drink as our glasses sat empty. Meanwhile in the kitchen there were was man leaning in the counter and appeared to be snapchatting and two others just sitting at a table back there. No one tried helping the server or any of the guests at the tables. I will not give my hard earned money to an establishment that serves food of this low quality, staff who are not a team and seem lazy, and to a restaurant that was this dirty. The waitress took off the nachos but nothing else from the bill after we showed her our complaints- and u could tell that I did not enjoy the food as it was uneaten other than the fries! And she never asked to box it up for me she just took it away and to the trash it went! I’m sorry but if things don’t change I don’t see the restaurant lasting! The reputation around is that the food sucks but we still said we will give it a try and now we understand why several people told us to chose another place to eat! It’s a shame because it seems like it could be a really neat local hangout for dinner and/or drinks!

the food wasn’t good at all… ordered wings and fries and was disappointed. The mozzarella sticks were burnt to a crisp. The bartenders were ok but they only had a limited amount that they could work with if you asked for a mixed drink that wasn’t on the menu.

When we sat down we were the only ones sitting at a table. There were a few people at the bar. We had time so we ordered drinks. My husband got a beer which was fine but my sangria wasn't that good. We ordered an appetizer- the pretzels. They were cold in the middle. Then I asked for chicken fingers and my husband ordered a burger. It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come back and tell me they had no chicken fingers so I ordered a burger. My husband's burger was ok but not real hot. Mine was just ok. Not great. The service was slow. I wouldn't recommend them. It's convenient because it's next to the theater and if you don't know the area, which was our case, it's good if you're going to a show.

My Honey & I went there for the first time last night. The band was Amazing The vibe and energy was awesome! A definitely come back to spot

Went there for the first time ever. Didn't look opened. Waitress was awesome, food was lousy. No drink menu, had to look at the bar to think about what I wanted to drink. Police provided entertainment messing with the locals. Never going back.

I had an awful experience last nightI asked the waitress 3 times for the pretzels.. She never ordered themI asked her for a glass with ice for my Surfside.. only received the glass with no iceI ordered a burger with beer cheese and an egg.. I received a bacon burger..I am allergic to bacon.. so she told me that what I ordered I took the menu from her and asked her to show me where the bacon was on the menu for the burger I ordered..Then I saw her at another table the two ladies were trying to order but she was too busy writing her text message and the bartender came from behind the bar to ask how how that was doing..Apparently she messed something up with their order also... Ugh
