This place makes the best lump crab cake. I have been coming here for years and the quality of the crabcake does not vary!!!!
Everything was great ! Just make sure you have 200$ to use . There ISNT a kids menu . Thank god my son likes shrimp . For these 4 plates 3 soups and 4 drinks and mini crab cakes i spent almost 160$ . I had the mussels it just came with a plain roll . Thought it would be a garlic bread roll or even just butter on it but it was plain (could be expecting way to much but seen everywhere else do it ) . I wanted fries because I wasn't sure how many mussels are in the plate or bowl so fries were chargerwd separate. They should have fries or onion rings included with seafood being such a high price even if it's a handful . But other then my little rant it was great and I do see myself going back . The place is beautiful inside. It's clean and it doesn't haven't that strong odor of seafood which is great . You can also order at the front of the place . You do have to bring your own wine/beer they don't supply it .
Went to the Voorhees location and the food was the best as it's always been. The only complaint I have is the smell of the restaurant. I have to say the seafood smell was a little overwhelming. I understand it's a seafood place and there will be a certain smell, but this was a stronger smell than usual. I just feel as though the place could've smelled a little bit better considering you're eating seafood. I've been in many seafood places and I've never had quite that smell, but I would order from them in the future moving forward. I'll just take the food home and eat in my own apartment
One waitress trying to serve multiple tables.no one was happy.
Much better in franklinville nj
Crab cakes are really good. The baked potatoes are the best. Steamy & fluffy. Broiled stuffed flounder is so delicious
Wish steamed shrimp was more on the hot side and not so much room temp. However, soups are delish and other items very good as well. Atmosphere is a bit out dated but adds to the nostalgia
The lobster crab bisque was the best I've ever had! The seafood was fresh, delicious and service was great! Our waitress was amazing 👏
Seafood is always on point!
Casual, family run, seafood restaurant with reasonable prices. Wonderful seafood and desserts.

I stopped in today and got the shrimp basket lunch special and the shrimp was large, fresh and delicious! The lady at the register was so helpful and sweet, I’ll definitely be back to try more of their seafood!
Just bought 2 half pints of shucked oysters. Unfortunately they are packed in fresh water which diluted the taste. The old cap'n cats used salt water.
This is solely based off the cleanliness of the place. It's disgusting. There were large roaches crawling up the kitchen door. Then looking into the kitchen it doesn't appear they have a high standard for cleaning. I can't tell you if the food was good or not since we left after seeing the conditions of where they prepare the food.
Unsanitary practices when handling the fresh seafood at the front of the store. I had to ask for a refund…
We came with our six year old granddaughter for an early dinner.
We hadn’t been for a year or so, yet always and forever went to the original. Decided to give Voorhees another try. He ordered jumbo fried shrimp, they looked great, our granddaughter fried clams and coleslaw.. myself the platter of fried scallops. Our grandaughter’s was alright, coleslaw not tasty at all. My scallops were raw, I took two bites of the baked potato which was overcooked and didn’t touch the coleslaw.. I did however put one scallop on my husband’s plate because he enjoys them too. We showed our wattress my scallops. She went to leave the potatoes and coleslaw as if I’d wait to eat it cold while they cooked new scallops, no I wasn’t hungry. I did have a cup of decent shrimp corn chowder. Pictured is the scallop I had given my husband.. raw!
Lastly and what I feel is most important. We were there roughly 4:30.. there was no heat yet we were dressed warm. Throughout dinner the owner who I recognized from being in the news media was up on a ladder several times.. checking the heat. As we left, many people were coming in to dine, no heat. Why wouldn’t you simply close on a very cold windy evening and fix the heat? Instead of allowing diners in? After our experience, I can see why. We always say, let’s just try this place one more time, with hopes that it’s changed. I’m sorry to say it hasn’t
