There seems to be new ownership, the greeter wore jeans and sneakers, there was a child of an employee who grabbed the thongs and reached for a roll and kept walking in and out of the kitchen. server was great. steak was juicy with no flavor eventhough I asked for extra seasoning. Salad bar options are odd, no cheddar cheese or balsamic vinegarette. The website showed a steak special for 115, they charged me 125. I showed them the site and they said oooo, it's old and wouldn't honor the price. Maintenance of the building is needed, I noticed the doorknob was loose on my way in, on my way out, I scrapped my finger when I tried to open the door and saw a screw sticking out. I notified the staff, hopefully they will fix it. Sadly the restaurant I've loved for 20 plus years is gone, I don't recognize this new Library II.
Salad Bar is unmatched! Surf and Turf is still the absolute best! Crème Brûlée and Chocolate Martini were awesome. It’s such a cozy upscale restaurant. We love it😍
bought a 16oz filet for 75.00 last night and it was lousy. Have always had great steaks there but I could tell the quality of the meat wasnt the same. Shame on you Library2

We are frequent patrons of the Library II. It was my favorite restaurant so I obviously chose it to celebrate my 50th bday with close family. For the first time ever, our experience was horrible. The waitress was very inattentive, our steaks were cooked wrong, one person in our party ate alone bc their steak wasn't cooked correctly so they had to make him another (he asked for med rare and it was given to him very well done), we waited 20+ minutes to order, another 20+ minutes for our drinks and even longer for her to come back and ask if we wanted refills. They add a gratuity onto your bill (we had a party of 5) so you don't even have an option, I was embarrassed that I was so eager to have my family, who drive from Philly, try this restaurant that I raved about. Im sorry but it you're charging $75+ for a meal, you shldnt even have these issues. I never complain but couldn't bite my tongue. I complained to the manager who did give me a gift certificate for my troubles but it doesn't make up for poor service. I dnt know if we'll go back!

I have been here twice now with my boyfriend and both times were underwhelming and we probably won’t be back. The first time was okay the Sunday night special, steak was cooked well but had no seasoning. Sides were meh, nothing really exciting.
The Salad bar is fantastic and we love that it’s included in the entrees. The different fresh breads are really good and I like the whipped butter, makes it easy to spread.
We also both got a filet with a crabcake on top. The server Ashley brought out our steaks and they had crab meat not crab cakes. She asked if it was okay and that the cooks messed up. My boyfriend was fine with it but I asked if she could just bring out a crabcake on the side then. She said they would charge extra. I told her politely it’s not what I ordered that you brought out, why charge extra if it’s the cooks fault and they are trying to make it right. She said she probably put the ticket in wrong and seemed embarrassed . I did not want to argue with a waitress on a night out with my boyfriend and said sure take my steak back. They took it back, and I they scraped off the crab meat and brought it out with a crabcake on top. I know it was the same steak because the seasoned butter I ordered, which was also an extra cost, was half melted . For fine dining prices this is not a fine dining experience. I feel most restaurants would have just brought me a crabcake on the side. This is the kind of service I would expect at an applebees, not a place I am spending hundreds of dollars.
I also was disappointed at the dress of the other patrons. I’m not saying everyone else has to be in a tux and evening gown but it ruins the romantic atmosphere when the table next to us has people in sweatshirts and athletic shorts. It says on the front proper attire required but I guess they don’t enforce it. Once again fine dining prices but not a fine dining experience.
The bacon wrapped scallops were bacon wrapped scallops. I was suprised there was only 3 and two of the scallops were rather small. My boyfriend and I actually laughed at the plate they set down after they walked away. For the price points you would expect more. I have no problem paying money for good food and a good experience but I want it to be worth it. The steak was cooked to our preference and it was good because it’s filet but even with the upcharged seasoned butter it really lacked in seasoning and flavour. We tried pouring the sauce on it but it was still lackluster for us, so if you have a more simple taste you might like it.
We won’t be coming back anytime soon in the future but maybe if they start to enforce their dress codes and get back into real fine dining we would give it a shot.

Two of the three of us ordered a steak, it tasted like cooked juicy meat with NO FLAVOR AT ALL! The mashed potatoes seemed like milk was added to loosen them hence they were cold and thin. TWICE I thought I was biting a chunky potato AND IT WAS GARLIC!!!! IT WAS AWLFUL TO BITE GARLIC and the dinner table.
The salad bar was amazing! Library II had been my favorite restaurant for 20 plus years but the last few times have been very disappointing.

Avoid Library II on route 73, Voorhees, NJ. The food is mediocre and way overpriced. Atmosphere reminiscent of a Diner!
Food service extremely slow, arrived at table cold, watery drinks and as a additional insult attempted to charge an additional fee that stated the fee is for a CREDIT card, not DEBIT! They wanted the fee, despite what was presented was a TD Bank debit card, not credit! Frankly, since both credit and debit card have the Visa logo, perhaps they too dumb to discern the difference.
Suspecting that owner would reply to review in a less than honest manner similar to a trashy roadside establishment, I took time to photo the menu. It is just as I stated, only applies to credit card. Of course as befits the atmosphere of that dingy place, their nasty reaction was profane and discourteous. We acted in a courteous although disbelieving of an attempt to garner more money by charging a fee for a Debit Card!

A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! Upon visiting the Library in Voorhees for dinner, my husband asked the hostess if the salad that comes with his meal was okay for his wife to eat as long as we were not sharing the salad. The waitress verified that as long as there is no sharing of the salad we would not have a separate salad charge. Upon receiving the bill, a separate salad was charged for $22. The waiter stated that this is their policy that there is no sharing. At which point my husband asked for the manager. The manager confirmed there is no sharing. Mr husband told the manager that the hostess that seated us told us that a separate salad would not be charged as long as we were not sharing the salad. Things only went downhill from there when the hostess refused to admit to the manager her error. The manager suggested we leave and never come back stating, “We don’t need people like you!” Our bill for one meal, no alcoholic beverages and without gratuity came to $130. We go out to dinner frequently. We have Never experienced this type of rudeness! We will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER step foot in this disrespectful restaurant.

Place is like a Chuck E Cheese. Filled with screaming kids running around. Food was only marginally better than there too.
Furthermore, the menu stipulates there is a 3% charge for a credit card. This is not true. The charge applies to any other form of payment other than cash. Other reviews mention this fee and the “owner” falsely represents this as the server fee. This is an objective lie easily disproven by reading the print on the menu.

After coming here for years tonight just might be my last. My waitress was rude no familiar faces anymore except for 1, drinks were literally warm no ice, food was cold raw steak no flavor at all. I paid left upset but didn’t want to be a jerk. After arriving home I was so upset I decided to call and got the manager Denise on the line who told me I should’ve said something while there I explained I didn’t want to make a scene, she continually cut me off blaming me saying they always ask how the food was I told her no one asked me basically calling me a liar. To top it off she hung the phone up on me. This isn’t professional it’s her job to deal with the good and bad. And for the price the library charges next time I want a steak I’d rather go to Philadelphia for real atmosphere and service and quality of food!
