LOL. It was a little funny when I asked why that Sam Adam's was $8 and was told domestic beer was $5. I always thought Boston was in the United States.

Skip!!! Very disappointed with the quality of food, portion size and very expensive for a dive bar. Was excited to try this place again after hearing they had made some upgrades. Was confused when entering seeing the bar was exactly the same dive bar it was a few years ago when I was there last. Way overpriced for it still being a dive bar with a dining room tucked in the back and misses the mark in terms of trying to “upscale”. The food was not good and portions were minimal for the price of $15-$18 and dipping sauces were left off. I would equate it to airport food.

Use to be a place of great food and excellent value. In the last few months the portions have become minuscule with missing items like the two onion rings with your burger. Even the pickle is almost invisible .You get charged for a cheese burger even if you order a plain burger. A glass of wine is a tiny measured amount not even close to the generous portion of just a few months ago. Prices have had a large percentage increase. The food is not even close to “Norm’s” - the previous owners standard.

We loved the old place but also the new management. Very good Moscow mules and the appetizers were delicious, though they had run out of the cauliflower. The waitress was charming and attentive and there was a great piano player who played Sinatra-style greats and Billy Joel's "Piano Man" unobtrusively while we ate. The outdoor courtyard is perfect this time of year.

Great casual place. Half-priced drinks at happy hour. Food is freshly made! Friendly staff

Sparkling clean, under the new owners. 1/2 price appetizers and 1/2 price drinks during happy hour (4-6). Reasonable prices and interesting specials that we look forward to trying soon. Trivia on Thursdays and live music on other days. What a refreshing change from another local place that is also under new ownership. We will make Amster's our new hangout! Shout out to bartender Brian, great service, and keeps the bar fun.

This was a huge waste of money. They served our appetizers with our meal. My vodka drink tasted like cranberry juice. The food was so mediocre. And the piano player was too loud, had a horrible voice, and only sang songs written before 1950. Save your money. Stay home.
