Love this place. I have put the 2 star review only because the cappuccino maker has been broken for a year. As soon as you fix it let me know and I’ll give you 5 stars.

Amongst the many diners in North Jersey, Matthew is one of the better ones. Plenty of options and sizable portions. As with all diners, definitely look at the dessert case.

We came in for the turkey dinner and it was delicious. We had leftovers and asked for more gravy to take home and they gave us a huge container full of it. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the broccoli - it was a little mushy. We ended up going back the next morning for breakfast.
There was a 10 + 20 minute wait both visits (Saturday night and Sunday morning) but it’s to be expected at a Jersey diner, especially a good one 😉

Ordered a grilled cheese with bacon… not even a full slab of cheese on either side. Service was extremely slow.

I'm not from the area. Came to find good food, service and atmosphere and I got all 3. There is free parking, wheelchair friendly accessible entryway and front door greetings from staff ( JUst to let you know, there is a double door entry), the diner is open, clean and a harmonious atmosphere. The servers are kind and friendly and welcoming.

And the food Fantastic 😍 I cleaned my plates.

It's very clear to me that the whole staff ( from the owner, manager to the rest of the staff work hard to make things run seamlessly. I'm a very happy camper.

I would say best for breakfast and late night food, good dinner place, desserts not bad, service good. breakfast hardy and yummy.
