Saly G's Restaurant & Tavern

While the food was excellent, the service was only mediocre. There were long waits between seeing our waiter to take our order or to get water glasses refilled. We will not return on a busy weekend night.

Service was great and the portions generous. We had the spicy rigatoni which was awesome and the chicken Milanese. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and tough. A bit disappointing.

The bread with an eggplant spread at the beginning of meal was excellent. Ordered the fried calamari, which was supposed to be tossed with a pepper oil, however, it was just plain, basic fried calamari, crispy, but nothing special. My wife ordered the salad which was perfectly fine and very large. The entrees were both very disappointing. My wife ordered gnocchi, a third of the gnocchi was burned charcoal black where it obviously had been left in a pan too long and was visibly burned. I was surprised they had even sent the obviously burned dish to the table. I ordered the bucatini, it just had no flavor, again, nothing special. The restaurant had been recommended to Us by friends who told us the food was excellent. Maybe there's been a change of Chefs or maybe the chef was on vacation? I don't know, but I don't think we'll return.

The food and the ambience was good. The service was excellent. One downside was the bathroom had no soap in it. I mentioned it to the reception desk. When i went back into the bathroom 2 hours later there was still no soap. I question the cleanliness.

Have heard for years what a great place Sally G's is and finally tried this past Friday with a reservation for 4 people. The decor and ambience was great, the food good but was highly dissappointed with the service. Perhaps they were short staffed but we had to flag down our waiter for every single thing, even to order our meal. Was hoping for a better experience.

Very consistent. Good fresh ingredients. Good size portions. Nice menu, something for everyone. Would recommend and return.

This has become one of our most favorite spots. Everything is delicious, but I recommend the Angry Chicken Parm! Owner and staff are always great, and they provide a very relaxing atmosphere.

Saly G's is always our “go to “ for ANY occasion- Birthday, Anniversary, or just when we don't know what we want to do for dinner. All levels of comfort. Never disappoints!

The people work here are warm and welcoming and all act as if they own the place....with pride and sense of family. Will be returning soon

I visited Sally G's over Labor Day weekend and was very disappointed. Ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done. My wife's pasta dish came out like slop. Table next to me sent back their dish and I witnessed a third table also send back a dish. I'm surprised to be writing this review because I have heard positive things about the restaurant.

This place is simply amazing. Don’t let the front deter you. You walk into an amazing place and every menu item is actually spectacular.

Saly G’s is my favorite restaurant in the area. Delicious food- you have to try the pillowy soft truffle gnocchi. I love Saly G’s so much so that I decided to have my bridal shower here. Joe was welcoming, accommodating, and great to work with. In a world where we are nickeled and dimed for everything, it was so refreshing to work with someone who offered fair prices and prioritized the customer. They were able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free guests. The shower was perfect. Thank you Joe and the wonderful Saly G’s staff for an unforgettable day!

Anyone who gives this place a bad review doesn’t know good food! Period! Been going here for years and never had a bad meal! Service is always great too! The complainers should stick to fast food!
