Eggplant Parm sang on that crusty Italian bread off the charts. Best Eggplant I ever had.
OMG...chef gets better every time I am in there. Last weekend he came to our table to chat and make a few suggestions on the specials he was presenting. I will never regret listening and trying his specials. Friday we had the MOST DELICIOUS, TENDER & TASTY RABBIT DISH that I could have imagined. We started with oysters and buffalo cauliflower, the rabbit was the icing on the cake. Never in my life did I think that I'd crave rabbit, but man o man...I could eat that meal every day of the week! Can't wait to see what chef has up his sleeve next time we are there!!

My wife and I had dinner Friday night at Uproot, a longtime favorite. The dinner was excellent, as always, but I need to call out the new appetizer: rabbit, spinach, and prosciutto over lentils. It was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Chef Scott nailed it as always.

Very cool atmosphere, very modern restaurant with interesting decor and hidden doors that can change the sizes of or separate some of the rooms. The drink options are plenty, and I highly recommend The Caffeinated Bird. The Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer was excellent, and so was the avocado dip and chips. The sandwiches and salads, and other entrees were ok. There were 5 of us on this occasion and all felt that our entrees were just ok. The server was very friendly and personable but it took a bit long to get attention throughout the meal, especially when it came time to get the check. We made reservations for an early dinner and there were not many other tables there, so the repeated long waits for her to return to our table seemed unnecessary. I would definitely come back for happy hour or to get appetizers, probably not for dinner again.

Food and wine program are phenomenal - chef is best around. Staff are attentive. We are regulars here and cannot say more great things. Halibut special was definitely one of the best entrees I’ve had all around. Bartenders also know what they are doing! Great drinks and food, do not pass up trying this spot.

Overall great experience.
Appetizer and drinks were served on time. Both the mocktails - Minty Baby and Berry Bash were solid! Not strong, perfect mixture of the ingredients.
Main course also arrived in a timely fashion.
Pizza was great in taste (felt tomatoes were just a little extra 👀 but not a dealbreaker at all). Spouse enjoyed her Chicken Sandwich with side of fries.
Live music by Rayella Cruz blends perfectly with the atmosphere.
Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Best restaurant in the area. The food is absolutely outstanding. For $16, their lunch prefixe special blows Panera's away so don't bother wasting money there. Cocktails are to die for, especially the smoke and mirrors. Absolutely love coming here every time. Also, the design of the bathrooms is amazing!

My family and I had lunch at Uproot for the first time. The ambiance was lovely and the menu choices offered some items for my vegan family member as well as the others. The server was kind and knowledgeable. We didn't wait long for appetizers and our entrees. It was a lovely experience and we will definitely be back!

Ate there 8/10. Had the Poke Bowl for $30. Have had Poke Bowls at numerous restaurant in NY and NY. Not only was the price the highest of any restaurant the amount of tuna was the smallest. Food tasted good but pricey for what you got.

Me and my fellow Boston University alum, Alex, went to Uproot for a SAE fraternity get together to see our fellow alum, Chef Scott Cutaneo, owner of Uproot. Scott is a graduate of Boston University's School of Hospitality and has been classically trained in French Cuisine in the Netherlands and Paris. Everything was great, the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Mike at the bar was mixing up specialty cocktails and Chef Scott showed us Uproot's wine cellar with an amazing collection of wines. Chef Scott has built up this collection with pride. Chef Scott is still the amazing person we went to school with. His passion for excellence and his warm, genuine hospitality hasn't changed. Make sure you go enjoy a summer meal at Uproot, outdoor seating available and live music too. Thanks to the whole staff of Uproot for an epic get together.

The food and atmosphere was very good. But extremely dissatisfied with the service especially the bill - which charged us for a $120 bottle of wine which we had ordered but we did not get because they did not have it - never the less they slipped the charge into the bill (seems like a huge mistake, if at all it was a mistake). Additionally when the charge posted, they added an additional $20 to the tip which was strange. Too many mistakes with the bill. I had recommended this restaurant to my brother who was visiting from out of town and he was hosting a birthday event, I was embarrassed to have chosen uproot for our special celebration. Felt cheated and the experience turned into a sour one!!!

Went for a graduation party. We had a Private room. Food was excellent. More of an upscale place so it can get pricey.
