OMG...chef gets better every time I am in there. Last weekend he came to our table to chat and make a few suggestions on the specials he was presenting. I will never regret listening and trying his specials. Friday we had the MOST DELICIOUS, TENDER & TASTY RABBIT DISH that I could have imagined. We started with oysters and buffalo cauliflower, the rabbit was the icing on the cake. Never in my life did I think that I'd crave rabbit, but man o man...I could eat that...
My wife and I had dinner Friday night at Uproot, a longtime favorite. The dinner was excellent, as always, but I need to call out the new appetizer: rabbit, spinach, and prosciutto over lentils. It was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Chef Scott nailed it as always.
Very cool atmosphere, very modern restaurant with interesting decor and hidden doors that can change the sizes of or separate some of the rooms. The drink options are plenty, and I highly recommend The Caffeinated Bird. The Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer was excellent, and so was the avocado dip and chips. The sandwiches and salads, and other entrees were ok. There were 5 of us on this occasion and all felt that our entrees were just ok. The server was very friendly and personable...
