Do not believe their menu, they do not have gluten free food. Ask my toilet.

You can taste that everything is made from scratch. We ordered the Pastrami Rueben, the Sloppy Joe’s and the chocolate chip cookies. Would definitely recommend. Great spot!

Found this on tiktok. I thought the food was average. The hash brown was way over done for my liking.

Grabbed a good ol “Jersey Meat”, egg, and cheese for my first stop ever at Cafe 57 in Washington, NJ. Met up with my friend Jen for lunch but I had breakfast heavy on my mind. Decided to add a hash brown (I always do if it’s an option) and rounded it out with a Joe’s tea (rare to see the diet ones so I was pumped about that). Came to $10 total.
The sandwich was solid. The meat was sliced thin and there was a decent char to it. I think for the cost they could have tossed on a few more slices, but I’m not mad about it either. I’d like to try some other items here in the future, I’ve heard a lot of talk about some of their lunch sandwiches as well as their baked goods. Either way Cafe 57 - Didn’t Suck!

My friend talked so highly about this place that I traveled all the way from Minnesota to try for myself. I’m definitely coming back!! That cheesesteak exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Awesome breakfast. Try the loaded hashbrowns. Rye toast is too quality. Good coffee. Greek specialties are excellent and fresh

Drove over 3 hours because I kept watching them post all these amazing things on Facebook. Decided one day to just go and check it out for myself. Did NOT disappoint. Took several things home and everything was amazing!
Pleasant staff but food was meh at best ....
I wish I had something to good to say, but let it be known, sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. This is not the place to take a date for lunch in order to impress them, nor does it have and "Americana Charm ' that adds to a positive experience while traveling though western N.J. . I 've been there a number of times and always left feeling I should have kept Driving ! The food was NOT good, the service was Groff and to top it off it was Expensive ! LOL. That being said ... WHY go there ? I understand that making a living in the restaurant business is though, but .. don't take it out on the customers !

I recently visited Cafe 57 and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the kind of place where you can sense a strong community vibe. I ordered the chopped cheese, and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of savory goodness. Food was done within a few minutes of ordering. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming environment!
Unfortunately, I was too full to order desert but will definitely be back to try one of their many treats.
