We were seated by a warm cozy fire and a candle on the table. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and it was delicious.

"Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes" were abominable! Finally ground crab, I guess, no taste or seasoning. Funny smell. Round like a tennis ball & about 1/2 the size. They clearly just use an ice cream scoop Over-seared spot about the size of a 50 cent piece in one spot. Rest was kind of unappetizing gray. Have never seen real Chesepeake or any other crab cakes that weren't somewhat flattened and nicely seared on both sides. Not a sear, just a flat, overcooked spot as dropped on a hot pan. The smallest possible ramican with a scoop of Cole slaw and another with a scoop of 1000 island dressing. French fries were cool and nothing special. Couldnt identify the vegetable. Two of us ordered the crab and we both left half on the $48 plates. The price for quality/value is obscene. Really no excuse for such a crummy product. Apparently the cook has never been to Baltimore or the Eastern shore of Maryland to sample food. This was a $65/person group.

The crab cake was so delicious! It had lots of herbs, tasted super fresh, and the sauce it came with was so good too! The fries were also perfectly crispy.

Literally one of the worst dining experience I have ever had the misfortune to have. From the overpriced menu to the underwhelming food it was just terrible. The stuffed clams were priced at sixteen dollars for five tiny clams covered in apple butter with a tiny piece of raw bacon that looked like slop on a plate and tasted even worse. I wanted to spit it out. The main course for both myself and companion were undercooked, bland, with all the sides lukewarm at best. Lumpy cold mashed potatoes slapped on the plate next to cold spaghetti squash. It was clear no one in the kitchen cared about how the food looked or if it was even warm. Clearly the new owner has no professional culinary education to speak of and it shows. I can honestly say the stuffed clams were one of the worse things I have ever tasted. I will never go back.

Definitely the best restaurant in Long Valley and it is not close. Great food and drink options. Excellent service and atmosphere all at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend it for date night. Also, it does not hurt it is located in one of the oldest and most recognizable buildings in Long Valley! Give it a try you will not be sorry.

Came for my birthday and our waitress was a delight! The seafood tower for 2 was fresh and the perfect amount of food. The kid’s menu also had great options. Highly recommend, we will return!

The crab stuffed shrimp dinner was disappointing. Six large shrimp with a blob of pasty crab stuffing was dry and tasted like it had been frozen and not fresh.
I am sensitive with over salted or garlic and requested minimal seasoning on the mashed potatoes & sauted spinach but server Said they are made ahead of time & can't be customized.
The server was great.
Peach martini was ok.

Tried this place last night, as they have outdoor seating, and it was a nice night. Unfortunately, the patio area was closed, and the only outdoor seating available was on the front porch, which is right next to a busy road, where you can enjoy loud traffic sounds. Why have your good outdoor seating closed, and your bad outdoor seating open??? Food: I had the shrimp and grits. Grits, fine. Shrimp, overcooked and rubbery. Menu proclaims "Northerners can also make grits too!". Well, too bad they can't cook shrimp properly. My partner had the fish and chips. She said the remoulade sauce was good, but the fish itself was pretty bland. I didn't taste, but my assumption is either the batter or the fish or both were under-seasoned. We will be sticking with La Rienda (right next door) as our go-to local place to eat outside.

Had the best clam steamers to date and they were substantial in size and within the best in terms of quality and expectation and within the expected size. Not sure what previous reviewers are anticipating with their middle neck clams
