This restaurant went out of business and never contacted me beforehand. We showed up at the restaurant for the day and time scheduled and there was a sign in the window that another restaurant was coming soon there.

This restaurant is under new management and has gone downhill since the change. When we visited the food was terrible and our server was very rude. I asked to speak to a manager during my visit, but was told by my server that no one was available. I attempted to contact management twice in the weeks following, but no one returned my calls. We will not be returning.

Food is Amazing and the service was excellent. The restaurant is clean and very cozy. We love it there.

Large portions. Moderate price. Well prepared. BYO helps to keep the bill low. Awkwardly scant amount of customers ( would make a first date difficult) but a great local place for seafood.

We have been coming here for year. It's a byob. Food is always outstanding as well as the service. I get the shrimp scampi, always my favorite. My wife got the scallops primavera and that was excellent.

1st time here and did not disappoint! Excellent, quality food, reasonably priced, nice sized portions! Val and Kevin are both excellent servers, very attentive. Met with Raj the owner, real nice guy, its nice that the owner takes time out to meet with their customers. Wife and I had fish dishes, I had one of the specials, Mahi Diavlo, with clams, mussels over linguini, little spicy but not too much, my wife had a similar dish. Both very tasty, nice size portion. Many dishes are very similar to true Italian dishes, but , not 100% Italian. They spin it a slightly different way here which Id say works out quite well, Appetizer had the Fried Calamari, but did not come with the typical marinari sauce to dip, was more of a BBQ sauce, was actually very good! Cheese cake for dessert was NY style and large! Damn good! Only issue was no Espresso or Cappuccino offered that night, just regular coffee. Then again, this isnt an Italian restaurant, not a big deal. If your in the area, stop by, this place will not disappoint! Also , it is a BYOB!

All of our dishes were excellent. The fish of the day was Mahi Mahi which as always was fresh and prepared perfectly. I have been going there for years and the food is always consistently good. At least once a month, sometimes more.

The Pelican is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is always good and creative except this time the squash risolte had no taste. The rest was very good. One fail after all the meals we had there is okay. We will come back. The waitress was excellent.

As always the meals were fabulous. We had 4 appetizers -pineapple shrimp 2x, oysters, calamari. Dishes were just as great. This restaurant is always consistent with the food. It is a BYOB which we love. It is a little unknown secret of ours.

On the way to the Jersey shore, just a few minutes from the AC Expressway, we found this gem in a strip center in Sewell. A fabulous and totally unexpected jewel. From the moment we entered as the hostess Valerie warmly welcomed us, we were hopeful the food would be as wonderful as our initial encounter. We were not disappointed. Beginning with the diversity of seafood offerings to the warm breads to the actually meal and the fabulous service (the vivacious Valerie was also our server.) - all was exceptional. Kudos to the chef. Our Caesar salad was fresh and crisp. The dressing was a perfect combination of ingredients. The seafood risotto-amazing. The texture of the rice was rich and creamy as if we were back in Italy. The portion of steamed mussels and clams, lightly sautéed shrimp and scallops was generous and cooked to perfection. This is an awesome restaurant which we will now frequent on our way to the shore!

We went on a weekday, the only ones there. The waitress was very efficient, since it was our first time had a few questions. We chose the 3 course menu for $30.00. My crab cake was good, so was the shrimp scampi.

Family luncheon for my daughter's upcoming wedding. (party of 13 +3 children) I found the atmosphere warm and cozy. Valerie, our server, was amazing. She was more than accommodating and made the day extremely special. Since we pre-planned the event, we had the restaurant to ourselves for 2 hours prior to opening. Perfect! All our guests enjoyed their lunch and raved about the food!! Highly recommend for private luncheon! I will be back!

Excellent food. My wife had the snapper special, excellent! I had the shrimp scampi and it's was outstanding. They give you 7 very large shrimp. The pasta was delicious as was the salad and the bread. Very nice size portions. Service was excellent. I've been coming to the restaurant for many years and it's consistently great. It's also a BYOB and that helps with the budget these days. Overall I think that prices were very fair for the quality of the food.

Abundantly clear that this place has changed hands. One of the worst dining experiences ever in our opinion. Ordered fried calamari. It was so over cooked it was hard to chew. Poorly executed. Next up…oysters. As soon as it entered my mouth it was repulsive. Tasted like swamp mud and smelled. Gave all of them back to our server. The chef/owner started yelling at us that the oysters are fresh and they are fine. He even had the server come to the table with some sort of card that was supposed to prove they had been harvested a few days ago. Problem was ya missed the point. Repulsive. Instead we get yelled at. Then salads show up. Wilted and brown and not at all good. But there was a beet salad that was served hot. Anyone who has ever cooked knows that beets have a very distinctive powerful flavor. These had zero taste of anything. Zero. If you closed your eyes and someone asked what are you eating you would have no idea. Not fresh at all. Then the entrees show up. Crab imperial. Gee maybe in some other land because it was not even close. It was crab cake mixture in a ramekin. It was also the exact stuffing used in the flavorless salmon that was ridiculously priced. I’ll bet if we ordered crab cakes it would have been the same thing. Like I said it is abundantly clear this place is NOT anywhere near what it was under previous owners. I know one thing if I come down with food poisoning from the rotten oyster I will be sure the community finds out and will see you in court. Funny how the good reviews are from months and months ago or a year or so. Also funny how many of the pictures shown are of the old restaurant and it’s dishes. We used to go here all the time. Never ever again. Yelling at your customers? Seriously? Cut your losses while you can. Big thumbs down on every level.
