Long Valley Pub & Brewery at Restaurant Village

My husband and I have been coming to the Brew pub for 16 years, we want to love this place like we used to but it’s gone down hill and I don’t think we’ll be back. The food is expensive and not good, the French onion soup was mostly oil and hardly any broth with about a table spoon of thyme, it was inedible and I had to send it back. It’s sad to see one of our favorite places not shine like it used to.

Burgers were okay, nothing special. The chicken sandwich lacked something, couldn't quite put my finger on it.

The beers on tap were okay as well. The stout was good. Not a bad spot if you're in the area and are looking for a burger and beer.

Enjoyed a meal yesterday as a car club I'm in ended their annual "scavenger hunt" here. To me, the food was great. Burger had great taste and size, the balsamic chicken sando was also tasty and the fries were among the best I've ever had. Service (upstairs where the club had reserved space) was fine given the large group. Bathrooms were a bit underwhelming. Overall layout is pretty interesting, with two indoor levels plus an outdoor bar and seating area. I'm a little surprised at some other reviews here as that wasn't my experience. If this wasn't 90+ minutes from home, I'd definitely try this place again.

The food was not good at all. Even worse, the manager was extremely rude to an elderly woman dining at a table near ours. We won’t be going back, and we’re warning people we know. We usually give food a second chance- there are off days- but there’s no excuse for the how nasty the manager was.

staff ESPECIALLY the manager are SO beyond unprofessional and rude. I see this place going out of business soon honestly. Manager is probably one of the nastiest people I’ve dealt with in a while.

Was looking for a brewery with some good food. We found this place after a brief search. The food was great, I had the German Reuben, my wife had the fajita salad.
Service was great and we didn’t wait terribly long. I would come again for sure ?

Not very good. Great atmosphere, decent service but not great. Food was the worst we’ve had in a while.
Sauerbraten was dried out, like it was sitting. My wife had the veal schnitzel, no taste, bland lacked proper flavor. The bathrooms were absolutely gross. It seems it’s being run by a bunch of inexperienced young adults. It’s evident in all aspects of our dining experience. Not our first time here but definitely the last.

Six of us arrived and asked the hostess where we should sit if we were more interested in the brewery than food. We were told rudly to go to another bar and that the beer wasn't brewed there anymore. How places like this stay open with horrible employees like this hostess is beyond understanding. Especially with plenty of other options in the area to spend your time. Unfortunately for us this place is one and done! If the place is also not a brewery than don't advertise it as such. While I can't review the food, the atmosphere and service don't even warrant a single star. Someone needs to explain how turning customers away is good for business?

My family and I had a very upsetting experience here. The manager and staff are very rude and unprofessional. We come here often, but after witnessing what happened to the table next to us we are highly disappointed in the service. A group of four young adults were sitting across from us and we happen to overhear the conversation in regards to what they were charged for their black bean burger and all of us felt very awful for them. We will not be back after hearing how the manager dealt with the situation. Last time at this pub. Very rude and disrespectful!

Saddens me to leave this review as someone who was within the family of the previous owners, I was expecting it to at least be in good hands. This place has REALLY gone down hill. Been coming here as early as age 4! Specifically came there for the black bean burger advertised on their menu for $16 that comes with avocado… got the burger and it came with things on it that I in fact asked to omit so that wasn’t a good start but upon receiving the bill I was charged $20 for these two burgers. I asked why I was charged more than the advertised price and they told me because it’s not currently on their paper menu that they charge me for a turkey burger. The turkey burger on the menu was actually $18. Even then, they said they had to ring it up as a different item because they don’t currently serve it, but still yet allowed me to order it in the restaurant??
Why couldn’t you have rung it up as something as for $16 if we are going to play a game of make up a price? If that’s the ADVERTISED PRICE ON YOUR MENU!
There were multiple burgers on the menu for $16 that they could’ve price matched for my black bean burger but they chose to up charge me and then tell me that they charged me extra for avocado that was already included on the ingredients on the black bean burger. So here are some photos showing it COMES with avocado and that u was charged and on top of it my bill of $40 for two BEAN BURGERS. I did try reasoning with the manager as well as 4 waiters and the manager laughed in my face and proceeded act like a complete jerk. Demanded I pay his price and that I’m being ridiculous. To be charged for a meat burger is ridiculous. So this restaurant makes up prices I guess. Really unfortunate. Every waiter and manager stood at the door as we left and shook their heads at us.
I guess I should have read the rest of the reviews.

I had one beer. Lackluster beer choices for a pub. Nothing really different or seasonal. We sat at our table near a window that was absolutely Covered with Flies. For that alone I didn't even want to eat any food. I did order the pierogi appetizer and it was good, but with flies all over nothing will make me go there again. Someone said there was a fly catcher just over my head. That made me I'll. If I hadn't been with a group I would have left.
Also the floor is beyond sticky. My group made comments that their shoes were sticking to the floors.
Sorry LVP you really used to be a favorite but clean up your act. There is zero excuse for so many flies inside your dining room. I'd hate to see the kitchen. I considered calling the BOH.

Clark is our number one bartender! Burgers are always a great go to. We go here on a regular.Food is great. Staff is amazing! Great outdoor dining & bar when warm weather in NJ!

Great staff, very attentive. Child and animal friendly. The food was not good at all. Some of the nachos were stale, the penne lacked flavor, the pizza was uneditable.
