Having to detour through Long Valley due to the sinkhole issue on Rte 80 became a blessing in disguise; I found The Coffee Potter! Well brewed coffee, perfect muffins fairly priced and best of all served with genuine pride, care and smiles. Thankyou for making my commute an adventure to anticipate. Even when the roadwork is completed, I'll be making a few detours to The Coffee Potter.

I used to live in Hackettstown, and loved coming here for coffee cake, now I come all the time as I have clients nearby for my iced matcha. They are super friendly, and my drink is always amazing. I love supporting small businesses, and the prices are surprisingly more reasonable than Starbucks, etc for a much better experience!

I used to really really love going here constantly, it has been my go to for a few years now and I absolutely adore and love the staff more than anything, the service is above and beyond and the staff is so extraordinarily friendly! But the last few months both my friends and myself have ran into a reoccurring issue that has gotten worse with our drinks being incredibly inconsistent with sometimes being undrinkable or tasting somehow like something has burnt.
I've tried to keep track so I could let you guys know just in case if it's an unknown problem but it used to be once in a blue moon to now it's every drink I'm getting or every other drink :(
My friends are having similar issues too with the inconsistency, sometimes the drinks are beyond delicious and absolutely wonderful 😊 with other times it feels like somehow the syrup is missing in our drinks and it's just milk with coffee or that something else is missing or not as much was out into it (rather than it being a "Everytime it's really bad issue" it's more like a scale....)
I'd really love to keep coming like I once did all the time but I'm feeling a little frustrated and sad that my last five drinks, three of them tasted burnt or like rubber with one being okay... And only one being extraordinary like it used to always be/taste!!
I want to give as much detail to hopefully help because I don't write my reviews with malice, I absolutely adore this store and it's staff from the bottom of my heart!! So I hope my review can at least help a bit... Thank you!!
My friend is also saying to state that it feels like when we get drinks in the AM they tend to usually be the best and in the PM/afternoon is when they usually are wrong!
We also order hot and cold drinks of varying types :) so we found it wasn't just one specific drink that this was happening with!

Love this coffee shop after a run on Columbia trail. Always super busy but they move quickly and efficiently. I never feel like I'm waiting long.
Parking: Parking is limited and tight especially with drive thru lane. I recommend doing drive thru or parking at Columbia trail.
