Love the place from decades of coming.. but has really taken a nose dive recently. Sat in the right big room and literally experienced?95F+ EXTREME heat, to the point of being light headed, person nearby told Mgr.. but went back on full 🥵. They need a 2nd thermostat and zone in that 2nd room. Also the green pea soup 🍲 was aweful, NO ham & few green 🫛 peas used, tasted like quick made with a can and lots of flour added to thicken cheaply, then a pound of old stale croutons to mask how aweful, flavorless. Guessing both to cut costs and increase profits.

The food was absolutely delicious, I had a reuben, it took me forever to decide because their menu is pretty big and everything looks amazing, you can get everything from breakfast to dinner including dessert 24/7 and prices are really good, I come here whenever I'm in the area, it is definitely my go-to place for great food

Ordered takeout extremely disappointed. 13$ for a cold plain burger In a box. Never been to a diner that didn't load lettuce and tomato on it at the very least and put a pickle on the side. We ordered 2 meals with fries and a side of fries got 1 box of soggy fries. No ketchup but 2 packs of tartar sauce and didn't even order fish 😒. Guess I'm going to little town diner next time.

Eggs were cooked nicely. Potatoes were extra crispy. Less than $10 for 3 eggs. If I lived closer I would go there regularly. My server was very attentive and my food arrived quickly. No service chaege if you pay by credit card.

I normally order an omelet, but I saw the lunch special had baked macaroni and optional crab cakes( extra). I declined the soup that was part of the special, as I thought I would be too full to enjoy my meal. The macaroni came out in a bowl with one crab cake on the top. The crab cake was hot, but bland, and the macaroni was only warm. It was not baked and looked like it was made with a box mix and stirred in a crock pot. Very disappointed. The macaroni used to be served in ovenware and two small crab cakes were on a separate plate (which tasted amazing). Not sure if I will order anything here again except breakfast food.

Our waitress and the people there was so pleasant and friendly. That was the best part. The good on the other hand I didn't enjoy. At least what I ordered.
I called and ordered a BLT last night so with Gina. I asked that the bacon be soft not raw. This is the 3 rd time I’m disappointed in a short time. I didn’t leave a review the other two times. I hope the diner does better

The Washington Diner has been here for years and is known for its consistently good food. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful. They have a very extensive menu. I have stopped here on many occasions and enjoyed breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is always fresh and hot. If you are in a hurry, let your waitress know and she will see that your food is served very quickly. They won't rush you, but, you can ask to be served quickly. Booth and counter seating is available. The Washington Diner is always very clean, neat and organized. I highly recommend The Washington Diner, which is located on Route 31 and is easily accessible. They have a large, open parking lot. It is always busy, so you know the food is fresh and good. I encourage you to stop here for a good meal anytime of the day!
