It's still the best of the best cheesesteak in New Jersey. Lunch with Darrell is like going back to a simpler time when food was always good and lunch was a time and place to relax and enjoy. The place hasn't really changed in 40 years. No wifi, credit cards, or cable news. Love it!

Been passing this place for years .Glad i finally stopped in ..the cheesesteak was pretty darn good .Easy to eat , not messy . Good amount of meat .The Italian sun was good as well . Didn’t fall apart as you ate it ..the pizza was good but honestly tasted much better the next day ..I wouldn’t go as far to say the best of anything .But for something good and quick , this place shouldn’t disappoint .

I love this sub shop, food is really good. I have been coming to this subshop since moving to SJ from Philly 12 yrs ago and this place has the best cheesesteaks I have tasted in SJ. An added plus on service no matter how long its been between visits the owner and his family still remember me.

What can I say but this man is a truly amazing craftsman and artist behind the grill. To watch him is to watch the likes of Michelangelo or Rembrandt. Or watching Leonardo Da Vinci building an amazing creation!!! I have had the pleasure to come in here for many many years and hope to continue to do so for the years to come. Excellent pizza! 1 size (square) and cash only, dine in or takeout only, but worth every cent and mile spent. Perfect crisp on the edges; perfectly cooked. I can vouch for extra cheese and pepperoni. Next time I'll be getting a sandwich and will edit my review. But I have a feeling it'll be really good.

I was very impressed with the quality of my sandwich. I got a pork roll and cheese that came on a kaiser roll. The pork roll was fried perfectly and there was a very generous amount on the sandwich. The owner was very friendly and we had a pleasant conversation while he was preparing my sandwich. I will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the area.
