We finally tried Bensi of Wayne and loved every bit of it! We started with the Spanish Smoked Paprika Fried Calamari which was from the Specials Menu, featuring the freshest most tender squid I’ve ever had in NJ and it was breaded and fried to perfection! For our entrees we both got the Vodka Chicken Parm which was also flavored and fried to absolute perfection! We ended our experience with a chocolate Peanut Butter Tartufo which was delicious, decadent and also from the Specials...

I catered food for my daughter’s graduation party and it was a hit! Lynn was super helpful with picking out the menu. She directed me to which food heats better etc. Meatballs, crab cakes, potato croquette, chicken Franchise and pork were delicious!!! Paul could not have been more helpful too when I stopped by the day before asking if he could add another tray. The best part was Jay who delivered and set up everything for me. This is a great Wayne restaurant!

Rediscovering Bensi.
Hadn’t been to Bensi since it moved from the old ShopRite shopping center to its location on Berdan Av. I felt it was an adequate Italian Restaurant. Friends of ours told us it improved. We tried it. We liked it! Strike that, we loved it. I had the veal piccata to test it out. Tender, flavorful!
The star were my wife’s scallops with balsamic glaze. Knocked it out of the park. Angelica, our server, and Paul the new owner were top notch
