The charcoal grilled half chicken was so delicious, moist & flavorful. Meg’s corn concoction & collard greens were delicious. What an awesome place with friendly service & fair prices. Such a nice change of pace for dining options. I was also talking to a customer who had the brisket meal with coleslaw & mac cheese which he said was amazing. I would highly recommend right off Rt 23.

We ordered dinner for friends that were visiting. Everything was delicious. Everyone loved the ribs and chicken. The corn concoction was delicious! We definitely recommend Gary & Meg's Chicken and Ribs.

I honestly hate giving this review because Gary was awesome!! I should have walked right out when I came in! The place needs to be cleaned up especially the food prep area! I went against my better judgment because Gary was very friendly. This was my first time patronize this establishment. I noticed this business had almost 5 stars , so i said let me try it. I didn't even read the comments which I should have. The half of chicken I got and wings was by far the most horrible wings I have ever tried. The wings was full of hair and smelled horrible. I tried one wing and tossed a $30 order in the dumpster.

The food here is amazing. The pulled chicken sandwich is amazing and I try to get it every time I go there or otherwise in the area. Would highly recommend to everyone. The pulled pork and roasted half or whole chickens are also amazing as well and am willing to try their other food.Parking: There is a parking lot next to the building and you can also park on the street, if possible

The chicken is fantastic. We usually pass on barbecued chicken at bbq joints but glad we tried it here. A lot of flavor and definitely moist. We'd definitely have it again. The ribs were very good. I'm not one to eat ribs directly off the bone, I prefer to pull the meat off with a fork and the meat pulls away from the bone clean and has a good flavor. The beans are out of this world good and would go back just for that. The cornbread dish is good. The only thing we would never get again is the Cole slaw. Neither of us liked it.

Finally was able to stop by and try Gary & Meg's while running some errands in the area today. And I have to say we officially have a new favorite spot! From the moment you walk in you are greeted with hospitality and warmth. The staff here are outstanding. They were patient and helpful as this was our first time and we were overwhelmed with what to try! I opted for the pulled chicken sandwich with two sides, trying their Mac and cheese and cornbread. We also ordered a combo meal of a 1/2 chicken with ribs, and two sides, one baked beans and another Mac and cheese. All of the meat was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. To thw point where we were stuffed and wanted to keep eating because everything was so amazing! The chicken was so tender and flavored to perfection, it honestly tasted like an amazing thanksgiving but with rosemary chicken. The Mac and cheese was outstanding and was the perfect balance of seasoning to cheese to noodle. The cornbread was crunchy outside and moist on the inside.The baked beans are easily the best beans I have had at any restaurant up north! The ribs were pork and so tender and well flavored you needed no sauce on anything. The half chicken was just as moist and tender as my pulled chicken sandwich but had different seasoning and was equally as great. We cannot wait to return to check out more of their menu and they have some stellar lunch specials. There is ample seating indoors and outdoors for the warmer seasons. They have their own parking lot as well. They are also very reasonably priced!

Succulent, generous portions of ribs and chicken made the platter such a perfect early dinner! We were also so impressed by the sides--super creamy mac and cheese, delicious corn concoction (with just the right balance of texture and a soufflé-like cornbread), and unexpected depth to the collard greens and coleslaw. I'm so glad we found this place!!
