Food no good salmon was terrible some of the shrimp there were natty
Drinks they are ok
Queso fondito was nacho cheese w cut up hotdogs..
Margarita Flights was mixer from ShopRite & a flight of watered down tequila.
Quesabirria was like eating cooked beef & mozzarella cheese without anything added. Wasn’t much flavor.
Tacos was cooked chicken & lettuce & a tortilla right out the packaging onto your plate. No flavor.
Best thing was the salsa & street corn.
Ambience is great tho.
Gratuity automatically added to bill on a 2 person table.....
awful service, super slow and it wasn’t even busy. i understand if you’re understaffed but it didn’t seem like they were to me. we came in on father’s day but like i said the place wasn’t even packed. $40 for a pitcher of sangria that tasted absolutely awful, my dads platter was so underwhelming when we waited over an hour for our food, almost an hour and a half. took the girl 20-25 to even come to us to get our drink orders. not to mention she got my order wrong, and when the food runner came and brought out the birria bowl when i ordered the birria ramen, she gave me attitude taking it back, then the server came and confirmed what i ordered. I had said birria ramen, if you can’t hear maybe turn the music down a little, it was very loud in there. overall was not a good experience.
The food was great as well as service, Judith was our waitress and made sure to have our food and drinks at promptly.
Went to jalapeños for dinner. Judith was amazing. Our food a drink came out perfect, very fast even with a large croud. Everything tasted amazing definitely coming back.
I had a great experience at this place. The food is delicious and all the plates come out super fast. The atmosphere is also great with really good music and lighting.
Great place with amazing authentic food! The Birria tacos!
We had such a great experience at Jalapeños in Wayne thanks to our amazing waitress, Judith! She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her warm personality and great service made our night even better. The food was delicious, but Judith truly made the visit memorable. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be asking for her again!
Found this place accidentally while on the walking path. Such a good find. Great authentic food.

Catherine was the only good server here with one other older lady. Everyone else was rude and made it seem like they wanted us out. This girl who had a pony tail and like in her 20s was rude and nasty. Service was mid food good.
Great music and awesome decor.
The brunch menu, however, was a joke. There were only four very mid options to pick from.
After taking forever to get to the table, the breakfast potatoes came out hard and undercooked. The portions were so small I had to stop and grab more food after we left.
The 3 bottomless options were pretty standard, but the margarita option was disgusting. It tasted like powder mix lemonade and I couldn’t even finish a glass. After asking the waitress if we could switch to their sangria option, she said no with zero explanation. I was willing to pay the up charge if necessary but this interaction turned me off.
I would genuinely be embarrassed to bring a group of friends here, especially since there are so many other incredible Mexican options just a few minutes away.
Don’t get me started on the “20% auto gratuity due to staffing issues”

Got an empanada trio and they were empty, not much meat inside. Underwhelming. The margarita was delicious, but overpriced. Vibes were fun though, with a DJ playing live music! Probably won’t be back.

Quite frankly we came here for the great reviews but it was a disappointing visit. Food had obsoletely no flavor, when I mean no flavor I mean it tasted like paper. The drinks and the atmosphere were good but you can tell it wasn’t a great place just because how dead the restaurant. Save your money in this economy, the cherry on top was the 20% gratuity slapped on top even though the service was the bare minimum.
