I wish I could leave zero stars since I didn't get my food after waiting for 2 hours. There was only one other table seated in the entire restaurant. Worst service ever. Place will be gone soon. It's a shame I heard it used to be good.

Haven't been there since COVID started so we thought we thought we'd try it again. Unfortunately the food went from a good variety with some real entrees to just burgers and sandwiches that were rather mediocre. Seems like it's headed to dive bar status. Won't be going back any time soon.

It looked really nice inside, but it was relatively dead prior to the fight starting. After paying a $20 total cover, and easily finding a seat at the bar we went about 10 or so minutes without being greeted... watched a bartender have time to do a shot in front of us though. I don't think I'll be back.

Stopped by for the first time after work and had good food and cold drinks. Sat at the bar and Denise was our waitress/bartender. Drinks she made were great and her smile was welcoming. Nice place to come back to when im in the area.

We had such a fantastic time— great food, great company, and great drinks. Denise was the sweetest server and was very attentive towards our group. Definitely would recommend again!

I really enjoy going to mothers! The past few times I've had Denise as a server and she was amazing! Super attentive and polite. Definitely recommend!

2 stars for the atmosphere but that’s about it. Being a bartender myself, I saw the bartenders skimping several people on alcohol. They were pouring way less than an ounce in each mixed drink, including mine. If you’re going to charge $10 for each drink, the least you can do is put the right amount of alcohol. Nobody likes getting ripped off. Food was rancid too, everything is frozen or from a can like other reviews have mentioned. Don’t recommend this place

Mother's Ale House was extremely disrespectful and discriminatory to my friends and I. We arrived after a friend group and tried to get in but were denied because two of our friends had slides on. No where on the website was it mentioned that slides weren't allowed and a friend of ours was let in moments before with house slippers on. We asked why she was allowed and the security answered by saying "we gave her a warning" but when asked why our friends didn't get a warning (because it wasn't on the website) we were told by security "because that's how it is". Then we asked the manager and he said "oh well thats a third party security it's there rules". It's just very upsetting that the rules were bent for one person who was unaware but two other people who were unaware were turned away. Im sorry but Mother's is not a high-end establishment and if they want to enforce rules they need to have it present on their website. The security and management was extremely disrespectful and unfair.

So we have been here 2 years in Wayne , right up road and stayed away from Mothers.Reviews were bad. We heard new owners.Went and never again. Food portions are a joke, flat beer, not very cold. $ 78 plus extra for tip, left hungry. Menu is boring and I'd never trust anything other then finger foods. I could of went to Pompton and had stuff to bring home full meals. Lmfaorofl my husband likes firecracker shrimp. $15 for a little side dish size, we call them monkey dishes. The shrimp is definitely those tiny shrimp and frozen. Served water trying to be fancy, tap water no ice hysterical. In a old school bottle like they were popping open french water or something.Horrible!!!!! Over priced, flat beer , portions ridiculous. I had to explain multiple times I wanted their Tator Keg but with French fries instead of tator tots. The guy was like we cant do it. So, I said can you put this, that etc on fries? He says yes, I'm like that's exactly the same thing I asked you ughh. It's a sports bar, with doilies under tiny plates? ????This is what they called firecracker shrimp, served for $15. ??? save yourself money etc go somewhere else. Wait staff lol definitely hate their job.

PROS: This place is always hoping on every weekend. Their full bar has more seats than many other bars in the county and their prices are at a normal level. The music is good and their are TVs everywhere so if you're not getting jiggy with it you're watching a game. There's tons of parking and there's bouncers all over the place making sure everyone is safe. CONS: Unfortunately, the place is cramped inside and its tough to move around. The bathrooms are really tiny which causes a back up. Compared to other bars due to its lack of room I normally don't come here. OVERALL: It's a pretty good dancing bar and everything, but the only floor you're allowed to go on is cramped to even walk around on. If I had to go to a dancing bar in the area I have a few other choices than this place.

Service is good, but the new menu is so lacking, there is literally nothing on the menu that is worth ordering, who's going to an ale house to order chicken noodle soup... nothing original or fresh, just typical frozen kid type entrees

Their saying is "Mothers Knows Best"? It's a neat looking sports bar, the atmosphere is nice. They have a lot of beer on tap and a lot of tv screens to catch a game. But, other than that, that's about it, especially If you're looking for good food. Their MOTHER obviously doesn't eat here! The menu on their website doesn't reflect their "new" kitchen or menu when seated. The cheesesteak tasted like frozen steak-umms and the the 20 piece boneless chicken wings, let's just say some pieces were just the bottom of the bag, possibly scraps! The waitress was nice and apologetic because of the looooong wait for food. The manager apologized without us complaining and comped us the first round without complaining. Honestly, with that said I'd still stop in for a drink and a game but not the food. It's unfortunate, because it it is a neat looking place!

Excellent experience. Food was amazing. Wings, cheesesteaks, and chicken sliders are highly recommended. Staff was ok. Staff seemed somewhat miserable and not wanting to be bothered. Food is pretty expensive. Overall good experience.

The RAT that ran across the floor ruined our meal. The manager, one the staff found him, apologized but seemed unfazed by the situation. The food was decent. The service when we sat down was great, but once we received our food, we didn't see our server again. We actually had to go to the bar to get our own check! There are better places to get bar food - go there.
