Stopped in 90min before closing, around 5pm. First off, everything on the menu sounded really good and my wife were kind of torn... The owner literally immediately engaged us and was like "tell me what you're feelin?" - this gentleman steered us to sandwich paradise ?
We decided to split a large classic Italian sub with a couple changes and ended up with a 12" sub (but I'd bet someone it was more like 14") with ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone. Added lettuce/tom/oil/vinegar/mayo with salt n pepper and some oregano. The cost was $17.05 ($8.50 all in with tax each if splitting) and this bad boy was plenty for the two of us!
They *only* use Boars Head meats/cheeses and let me tell you, it absolutely SHOWED!! High quality ingredients result in a high quality product and this was no exception! It was the absolute best f***ing sandwich either of us have had in a long time! This guy was a true artisan and master of his craft!
Stop in and get an Italian sub and I promise that not only will you not be disappointed but you'll be amazed and enjoy the best sandwich you've had in recent memory!
We plan on going back again real soon to try the Philly cheese steak, get another Italian sub and try the Mac salad which also looked amazing. Will update this review or post another one when we do!
EDIT: Went back the following morning and got a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. ????

EDIT 3: 11/1/2024 - New special on Friday called " Philly Cheesesteak Fridays" - $5 for a cheesesteak and $7.50 for cheesesteak with fries and a soda! Just picked up 2 of them for me and the Mrs.! Guess what? AWESOME AS USUAL AND LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!

What an abomination of an Italian sub especially for a North Jersey deli. After reading reviews and looking at pics, I had high hopes. Meat is cut about a 1/4 inch thick and looks pre cut. Meat also seems poor quality. Bread is decent. Overall horrible experience and won’t be back. The pic says it all

I recently visited Sammy Subs and was thoroughly impressed! The quality of the food is fantastic – the meats are always fresh, and everything tastes incredibly flavorful. The atmosphere inside is outstanding, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment to enjoy a meal. On top of that, the customer service is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have a great experience. If you're looking for a great sub spot, Sammy Subs should definitely be at the top of your list!

Food was good. Guys who helped us were nice. But I think I was overcharged for my order. We got two turkey wraps, both with cheese, one Coke and a small bag of chips. Total was 34.00 and change. The bag of Lays chips expired in June (didn’t notice til we were in the car) Should have went back in to question the price and return the chips but we were already on Rt 23. I know prices have gone up but this seems absurd.
Thanks for your reply. Someone reached out via FB and said a was not overcharged. Apparently each wrap was $12.50, two dollars extra for the coleslaw on my sandwich which actually makes my wrap $14.50. $2.75 for a small bag of chips (expired in June) and $2.75 for one bottle of soda. Seems absurdly expensive but it is what it is. The wrap prices should be posted. If a sub is 8-9.00, I would never expect a turkey wrap to be 14.50. (A Reuben is not even that expensive in your website) I can’t hemp but feel like I got screwed. Regardless I appreciate the reply.

My wife, mother in law and myself went to Sammy Subs and wow what a delicious and incredible breakfast we had. The flavors were spot on, with each dish cooked to perfection. The attention, detail and love poured into the meal was evident in every mouthful. It was the perfect start to our day and I’m already looking forward to the next time we get to enjoy a delicious treat! Sammy Subs never disappoint. We will be coming back three times a week

Everything is always so fresh delicious. The employees are extremely friendly and the service is fast and efficient. We love their chopped cheese subs, onion rings, macaroni salad and their Italian subs! Definitely go to Sammy’s!
