Love this place ?
Food was good, service was terrible. We were a party of 2 and ordered, they brought one plate out when it was ready and left one of us sitting there without our food for 6 additional minutes. They didn't bring any utensils and when I asked, she never returned with any.***********If you eat here, be sure to asked for an itemized receipt. I thought the amount seemed high for what we had ordered, one item at $10, another at $11.95 and a soda at $1.50. Somehow our total was almost $32. They automatically added on a 20% tip for a party of 2! They only bring over the handheld credit card machine to your table that only shows a total, not a breakdown of charges. It asks you to add a tip to the total. So not only are you tipping twice, with your second tip, you're tipping on the additional tip charge as well! On a check around $25, they were getting a tip of almost $12 (after I elected to tip 20% on top of what they snuck in). When I confronted the server about it, she stated "the computer up front automatically adds it on, but the handheld one doesn't show it." I asked for a refund so that I could re-pay.and tip accordingly to the true amount of our order. She pushed one button on the machine and claimed that it was done, so I asked for a receipt showing the reversed charged. She was notably nervous because I know she hadn't done it. She then refunded it and gave me a receipt. Of course, she only refunded one tip amount. I asked again to have the full amount refunded and she then gave me a total that still included her added tip. After 4 transactions, she finally refunded the correct amount and I paid again and definitely requested receipts for all the transactions.Needless to say, that was our last time there. If you want more money, raise your prices. Don't try and rob your customers and play ignorant about it. They also charge you $1.50 for water, absolutely illegal, but another way to rip you off.
This place is under new (mis) management since June '20. If you enjoy over cooked leather which they try to pass off as steaks, lukewarm refried beans and dry rice this'll be your place. Their food is terrible and the prices are well above the quality. I will not return.
I had to take some classes nearby, and this was the closest restaurant for lunch. Really good food, IMO, artfully arranged. Despite the Covid 19 restrictions. The staff was very cheerful and upbeat, the food delicious, service prompt, and everything very clean. Colorful murals on the wall. Even the sound system was quite professional, with upbeat Latin music. The place just cheers you up. Rating a place as a hidden gem is not something I do often, but this place is one good find. Not far off Route 23, ample parking, handicapped ramp
This place is great! And their $1 taco deals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are amazing for what you get.
NEW OWNERS. Portions got way smaller. Food isnt nearly as good compared to the Original Tio Pepe. Chimichanga was just steak, peppers, and onions, THATS IT!? Beans were soupy as hell. Maduros was good. Thats it.
Excellent food. Byob. Casual atmosphere. Friendly Service.
Steak Tacos, the Guacamole, friendly service
Buena comida y exelente servicio se los recomiendo
Solid simple dishes, priced fair with great attitude toward customers. Owner usually checks in on customers personally, feel like they actually care if your food comes out good or not. Small things matter.

So glad we found this place! Amazing, authentic Mexican food in cozy atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!
Very good food here. Service is excellent. Biggest suggestion I can give is, don’t split the check. We ran into an issue the other day and I couldn’t understand why.

Came here with a large group and kudos to Tio Pepe. Our waitress was so accommodating and friendly. Everyone loved their food. Large portions and great presentation.
